Everything superb - A1 :)

Roads to the property needs big cars or bakkies . If they may try to accomodate all cars to the property .Even try to make some arragements to be collected by the boom gate with shuttles to the destination property that can even work much better . However we going back definitely booking again very soon for more stays .

Sedgefield Lodge is truly a hidden gem. What a location! We stayed in the boathouse, beautifully situated on the Golden Mile Estate, where you encounter zebras, giraffes, and many antelopes on your way to the accommodation. The lodge is located on the Elephant River, and the combination of tranquility, stunning sunsets, and the cozy feeling of home away from home was simply amazing. The only regret I have is not booking for more than two nights. Unfortunately, it was fully booked after that! The hospitality and service from Michelle and Rob, the wonderful hosts, exceeded all my expectations. When I had a flat tire, they immediately assisted me and ensured I was back on the road in no time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience in nature!

An absolutely brilliant spot! Right on the dam and brilliantly appointed. The view is brilliant. The house is big and very comfortable. We were a family of 4 and there was ample space for all. If it was warmer swimming would be great and next time I am taking the fishing tackle. Beds were large and comfortable. The kitchen had all we needed. All in all a wonderful spot. Next time I will stay for longer. Ah, and lots of birds! In a security complex so we felt safe. Also spotted giraffes and other antelope - great start to a holiday! (Zebra’s on the lawn in the early morning I am told by the kids)

Getting there is a little interesting as you have to pass through parts of town that are less than attractive - but this is no reason to not go there. Just be aware that the route is not the destination.

The view of the water was spectacular. The chalet was tastefully decorated with attention to detail and everything that you would need. Rob and Michelle are genuinely some of the nicest and most interesting people that we've ever met. Our dogs had the best time with all their buddies. Launching was a breeze. We truly savoured every moment and only wish we could have had more time at Sedgefield...thank you from the bottom of our hearts for you hospitality and warmth. We'll see you soon❣️

Lovely facility. Well equipped and a great view of the dam. The host was cheerful, helpful, and set a great tone on arrival. The two pubs in the estate (Surf Shack and Sand Bar) are brilliant; food, service, atmosphere, and staff attitudes are wonderful.

No complaints but just beware. Your GPS will take you down the wrong side of the fence just before the entrance, so don't fall for that one 👀,😆

The lady (owner) makes an effort to the area, she understands that there has to be value for money spent. The kitchen has all the necessities one needs in a self catering unit. The place is beautiful and spacious. The gardener is kind.

The WiFi was not working the entire weekend. Not everyone is a fan of dogs and that has to be respected, the dog made me very uncomfortable the entire time it was around.

Both hosts Michelle and Rob were extremely friendly and accommodative, as we arrived earlier than expected, and they went out of their way to get the unit ready upon our arrival. The view from our unit was breath taking not to mention the perfectly well furnished interior that made us feel right at home. If ever we are in Witbank again - this will be our choice accommodation! nothing - our stay was perfect!!! It is a bit far out from town, but not a train smash! Just make sure you take all food etc. with. We wanted the peaceful quite surroundings for the weekend.

Pet friendly, we had a lovely weekend away with our dogs. The owners/management are accommodating, welcoming and extremely responsive. The accommodation itself, well exceeded expectation. Lovely experience overall. We will definitely be back for weekend away.

Beautifully designed and furnished lakeside property with elegant lounge and bedrooms and extensive terraces looking over the lake.

Access from the main road is over 8km of dirt road with occasional pot holes. Ok in a personal SUV but tricky in a hired saloon car with vigilant companies looking for the slightest hint of off road use.

This place is exquisite. The view was amazing. We had a query in the morning and the host was so welcoming and attended to it immediately. I loved that. I will definitely recommend it.
