I liked everything about our stay. comfy bed.and pillows,warm shower every time,clean bath towels,,room cleaning services every day, delicious breakfast,sea view from room just beautiful,love the balcony overlooking the ocean, best location,near Hermanus with lovely beaches for swimming and fishing.Easy check in and check out. You can come and go as you like.The friendliest host by far. Her name is Villieria. She makes us feel so welcome, always making sure we have everything we need. Extra kitchen upstairs next to the rooms, a bonus with microwave, fridge, cutlery and Zink for washing dishes ,available for use for guests.Down stairs is the breakfast area with main kitchen.Villieria has a funny spontaneous professional personality. Highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again.

Our room was clean, spacious and plenty of storage space. Large comfy bed along with kettle, fridge and access to a shared kitchen that had a microwave, plates, cutlery etc. The balcony faced the ocean and had outdoor furniture to relax, all you could hear was the ocean and a few birds. Short stroll to the beach and access to ocean walks either way from the property. Free WiFi, TV in room which we did not use so unsure of channels. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and very fulfilling. The host is a lovely lady, very friendly and approachable. Overall we loved our stay and this was a great way to finish our 3 week holiday and definitely would return. Thanks for your hospitality.

Everything was great.

The location of the guesthouse the breakfast, the view, the service, the hospitality of the owner (a very nice lady!) were amazing !!!! The owner gave us very helpful advice for our stay and for our trip and she even recommended us an extaordinary restaurant and she also booked us a table there! Furthermore she offered us to book all our wished activities for us, like e.g. whale watching boat cruises, etc. . She even recommended us a particular company for the whale watching which really was the best one! Our room was quite big and very cozy and nice, also very neat and we had everything we needed! For example we had a hot water kettle with tea and coffee, a big flatscreen smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, etc. , a very big, cozy and comfotable bed, etc. And we even had a beautiful ocean view from our bed.... It was really amazing! We got more than enough value for our money.... !!!! We can highly recommend this guesthouse and we would even say it is the best choice (especially when looking on "value for money") in the area of Gaansbaai and De Kelders! We would in any case love to come back again! Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay!

It honestly felt like being welcomed by your favorite fun aunt ❤️ it’s not fancy but it has everything you need and the fact you get a PROPER home made breakfast is just the cherry on top! The rooms are clean and the bed was so comfortable. We felt so at home and so safe that it took seconds to fall asleep and the fact you could often still hear the ocean was even better! The view was amazing and the walk to the beach was easy and fast. Just a wonderful part of the beach. We also got a GREAT recommendation to eat at „The great white house“ which was great!

We had room #5 on the first floor, which was specious, sparkling clean, lovely terrace and a view of the sea. There was also a small fridge which really came in very handy. The breakfast was amazing. . . a "full English" along with yogurt, fresh fruit and a choice of three different types of cereal. Our owner hostess is friendly, gracious, hard working older widow who supports herself and a small staff with is business.

The mosquitoes. Window/door screens don't seem to be used in South Africa. Since double hung windows are uncommon, SA could certainly use creative screens that are flexible and held on the window and door frames by magnets.

Brilliant views from our room out to sea, nice balcony. Large spacious clean room. Big lounge area downstairs. Excellent breakfast (with back bacon - unlike some places we that that only had streaky bacon). Safe area, we walked down to the beach and along the coast path a ways with no concerns. Good recommendations for places to eat dinner. Friendly and helpful host - we were grateful for the advice on our route for our journey to Durban.

It was an absolute delight staying at Villiera's lodge. Our room was perfect with a lovely balcony offering sea views. Perfectly located in De Kelders, Villiera gave us great recommendations for restaurants and activities, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. If visiting the Gansbaai area, I highly recommend staying at The Bay Lodge.

Nice room with balcony overlooking the water. Neighborhood felt really quite and safe. Room had everything you need and a good extra blanket for the cold winter nights. Due to load shedding, it was not easy to make breakfast, but the host did her very best! Wifi is still usable during load shedding. Restaurants was 10 minutes away by car (the great white house was so good!), so not in walking distance, but Hermanus (which is a lot more expensive) is only 25 minutes away.

Parking was in front of the house (not gated), but since it was a really quite, nice neighborhood, this was not a problem! Bathroom is not big, but it has everything you needs so for us this was not an issue!

Great location right at the Ocean front. Family Room booked by me was very cosy, neat & clean and very comfortable. Villieria…our host & owner of the property is a great host & she took good care of us. She even guided us with suggestions for local tours & restaurants. Breakfast provided was of exceptional quality. We stayed in the property for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hostess Villieria from start to finish was wonderful ! She made us feel at home and made our stay a real pleasure. The room was great and the breakfast was lovingly prepared and served.
