Great location with fabulous views! Our apartment was spotless and beautifully furnished. The lounge & dining areas downstairs were fabulous also. The lodge is right on the beach with the spectacular walking track to Hermanus town right out front. Just wished we had spent an extra night so we could have time to do the full length of the beach walk. Our host was amazing! She could not have been more welcoming & helpful and made our stay just that much more enjoyable! The breakfast she made us was nothing short of 10 out of 10! Would highly recommend this property!

Attention to detail given by the staff was exceptional. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we felt like we had been at a 5 star home-away-from-home. We could not have wished for anything better. Thank-you Tito! Our view from our room and from our bed was an incredible uninterrupted sea-view. The bed was ultra-comfortable. Our room was spacious with a spare room within the suite (incl single bed). We used this as our dressing room :). There is no shortage of cupboard space throughout the suite. The breakfast presentation was so tastefully done and the hot breakfasts made for us were of a very high standard. Voelklip Beach is a few steps away from the front of the establishment and Grotto Beach (Blue Flag beach) is a short walk along the cliff path. Hermanus Beachfront Lodge is a definite recommendation from me to any one wishing a beautifully comfortable stay in Hermanus.

Thank you very much for DCC Team for making yet another stay for us so flawless and enjoyable, and my birthday so special. It was one of our most pleasant holidays. Our special thanks to Tito for making our stay comfortable and very enjoyable. Tito is a real asset to the business. He has such a special touch for making delicious breakfasts, with classy beautiful presentation. Under his vigilant supervision the whole place is kept in immaculate condition, everything sparkling clean, from the entrance and windows down to snow-white ironed napkins at breakfast table. Just for one day Tito was replaced for another person and we immediately saw the difference, the perfectionist touch was gone. The place is not the same without Tito. We really hope to see him again upon our next stay.

Since our first stay in 2018, the website prices have increased drammatically, while the facilities did not change on the same scale.

Thank you for such a lovely stay. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and your attention to detail truly made a difference. From the well-stocked fridge in the room to the convenience of the honesty fridge, every touch was appreciated. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and having the Nespresso machine was a great bonus. Breakfast this morning was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. A special thank you to Titto for the exceptional care and attentiveness, it did not go unnoticed. Looking forward to staying with you again in the future!

Very helpful, polite and friendly staff. Comfy Bed. Big bed in main room and separate single at front of room area behind a door, so good if have a partner that snores. Nice area to sit with chairs and look at the view with potential for whales. Breakfast was great. English breakfast taken that was hot and tasty. In garage parking available.

Shame we did not have a balcony area, you could stand but not sit on chairs, however there is a room with a balcony on the right hand side. It's a little further from the main town, but its a reasonable taxi ride

Located just outside the city centre, but with a great view of the bay from the Superior Suite. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the nearby Dutchies restaurant was closed, so we drove into the city centre. You can take a wonderful walk along the bay and learn about environmental issues on a ‘sustainability trail’. If you want to see whales, this is the place to be. However, we were unlucky and didn't see any. Private garage for the car in the building.

Spacious apartment with lovely balcony. Air conditioned and sea front location. Beach was literally just across the car park. Breakfast was provided and was good if a little limited in choice. Security was good and the location seemed safe. Service was good with daily change of bedding etc Strange system of having a shared refrigerator however it did work and we left several bottles of wine there without any problems. Nice relaxed atmosphere and very quiet which we liked.

This apartment had no cooking utensils so it was not possible to prepare one's own food which is not what we expect when booking an apartment. We asked for a bread knife and another sharp knife. The lodge is owned by a hotel group and needs to decide if this is self-catering accommodation or a hotel. We prefer to have our own cooking facilities so this was a negative for us. Entrance to our apartment was through double doors which did not appear very solid although we had no issues.

The property was a little further out of town than we expected, but it was just lovely. Tito greeted us with a friendly welcome and our room (5) was on the first level next to the lounge area and breakfast room. It had a wonderful view, was bright and airy, comfortable bed, small kitchen area with microwave and fridge and there was a door to close off that area from the bedroom. The shower room was good and the extra small bedroom was great for our luggage. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. Tito who seems to work 24/7 and his staff really looked after us. The beach was a few steps down from the garden and we enjoyed walking on the coastal path. There were a couple of restaurants nearby which were good. Everything was excellent and we would highly recommend a stay here.

Easy to find. Right on a wonderful beach with others close by also. Delicious breakfast and a very comfortable bed! Fabulous coastline all around.

The sea view balcony was very narrow. Not large enough to sit out on. A lovely shower but a bath would have been nice. Slightly out of town. Had to drive rather than walk to the harbour / marina, main town shops and restaurants.

Beautiful sea view from a very comfortable room. Titto was most helpful in settling us in. Safe parking inside a garage. Quiet area with peaceful sleep. You need a car to get to the main town area for dinner and shops. Paved walkway for walks along the seaside.

Bathroom was a bit cold. Hairdryer too small. Loose carpets on the floors make folds when walking on them and could cause someone to trip.
