There is so much to love about this place, and a short overnight stay, like I did, just won't do it. The stunning views to the horizon and breathtaking mountain backdrops, the early morning buzz of farmland activity and friendly hostess makes the 15 min drive out of George so worth it. Great place for a weekend retreat.

Very limited self-catering options, just a microwave & kettle. Cutlery and some crockery is provided though.

It was like a home from home.. the scenery is absolutely beautiful.. enough space for teenagers to breathe and play pool, darts, and take a dip in the pool.. we just stayed one night .. unfortunately.. MUST STAY longer next time !!!!!!so we can have a braai in the little boma.. I absolutely cant wait to go back.. The fireplace...hot water bottles , really good blankets.. didn't even know it was winter

Esperanza is truly a gem. The location is exquisite, tranquil and close to nature and animals. Elmaré is an exceptional host and she will definitely go the extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable and satisfied during your stay. When describing my stay at Esperanza, the words peaceful, rustic and tranquil come to mind. The room was cosy and the host friendly and accommodating. What a beautiful place outside George to stay at to relax and unwind.

Fridge in room couldn't close properly. Esperanza is situated close to dairy farms, so expect some flies about.

I loved the entire experience starting with the fact that I made my booking quite last minute and that my booking was accepted, the warm welcome received from the owner Elmare to the generous accommodation and facilities offered. I was travelling with my 11 year old son and I can say that he and I really loved the pool table. It was a terrible night's weather with gale force winds and rain lashing down, but we were warm and cosy inside.

Esperanza is situated in beautiful farmland. The hostess was extremely helpful and kind.

Very quiet and beautiful location, loads of space for the whole family. The pool table received plenty of use. Best coffee mugs at any lodging ever!! Lots of outdoor space as well. Host was very friendly and welcoming!

A few of the mattresses were feeling a bit worn, some pape towels in the kitchen could be helpful. Also the phone calls and text messages about the EFT or losing my booking before 9am after securing with a CC and making the EFT the night before were a bit annoying, especially while trying to get packed up and on the road from Cape Town

The property was warm and inviting and perfect for relaxing both inside and outside. The pool and option to bring our puppy was a bonus.

We did not have access to the main bedroom as this was being painted. The rooms that were accessable were however sufficient.

Very tranquil. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. We loved seeing the animals surrounding the house. It's perfect for a family getaway. Love the little park outside for the kids. We enjoyed the pool table and dart board!!! There's so much good things to say about this place. Will definitely be returning soon

The tranquility and peacefulness of this venue can't be beaten. That with a wonderful host and generous facilities makes it a pleasure to return time and again.
