Love the location and cleanliness of the room. Absolutely calming. Heater and electric blankets to keep you very warm during winter. Comfortable. Love the gentleman at the front gate - really set the tone for my 2 day stay. The staff were amazing, Sandra was super helpful from my booking. Mumsie radiates such positivity and professionalism when you see her. It's absolutely lovely. The restaurant, breakfast, dinner was amazing. My massage was amazing!

The toilet smelt of urine. Even tho it was cleaned daily. The toilet pan was dirty - looks like it was stained. Needs maintenance. The first night, turndown was so late. The second turndown was almost not going to be done. I had to ask the staff I saw along the walkway.

The location. Staff is very friendly with exceptional customer service. The place is clean and very beautiful. The food was amazing. You really feel like someone very special. They have thought of everything to make your stay very pleasant. The spa was also very good I love the bedding that felt like "linen" (i.e., not polyester). The turn down after dinner was so exceptional. The tent has warming facilities, especially since it gets cold in the evening. The sound of Sabie River is just therapeutic. Very serene.

The honeymoon suite was absolutely beautiful, with the stream running just beneath creating a very calm & relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly, Security was exceptionally helpful. The overall architecture was so well thought out - with the spa overlooking the river, the dining hall is beautiful and cosy with views of the river. A very cabin-in-the-woods feel, but with a retail shopping centre 2-3KM away. We enjoyed the spa as well. An overall relaxing weekend staycation.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the last 2 nights of our honeymoon at Summerfields Retreat and Spa, and it was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff, especially Mariana, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Her attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed and pampered throughout our time at the resort. The amenities at Summerfields Retreat and Spa are top-notch. Our room was beautifully appointed, with luxurious furnishings and breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. We enjoyed relaxing in the spa, indulging in decadent treatments that left us feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible food. Each meal was a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared to perfection. We looked forward to dining at the restaurant every day, eager to sample the delicious creations of the talented chefs. But perhaps what stole our hearts the most was the adorable in-house cat Whiskas who became our unexpected companion during our stay. We formed a special bond with him and were sad to leave without saying goodbye, assuming he was busy with his cat activities. We hope he is doing well and look forward to visiting again someday, perhaps to see him grown into a regal feline. Overall, our experience at Summerfields Retreat and Spa was nothing short of magical. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully curated to ensure the utmost comfort and enjoyment of guests. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and with memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. We cannot wait to return to this little slice of paradise. I loved everything about the place. The staff treated me like I was the only guest and were just lovely. Had the soap massage at the spa, the most delicious massage I've ever experienced. The food was amazing. And I really found the sound of the water quite soothing actually, rather than nosy. Perfect place to go unwind and retreat. I would definitely go back again. Thank you to the team there for making my birthday week heavenly.

The property is absolutely stunning and set on the Sabie River. So much detail has gone into making special spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The restaurant is lovely, the spa treatments were amazing and the staff are the best there is. We were made to feel so welcome and we loved our two days there. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member was so friendly.

We stayed in the Stone House at the top of the property. The setting is beautiful and the sunsets incredible, but I don’t think it’s set up for Winter stays. The house is sparsely decorated, with cement floors, walls, kitchen etc. The fireplace doesn’t work as it just smokes up the house. It would have been nice to have a gas heater or aircon in the living area. Some extra blankets for bedrooms would also be nice. The bedding is hard and noisy, so not the most comfortable sleep. The main bathroom is also outside, which is quite tricky in the middle of the night and cold. In Summer, I’m sure it’s absolutely spectacular!

The serene ambiance, the refreshing outdoor shower, the indulgent coffee scrub spa, and the tranquil sleep by the river accompanied by soothing white noise wow what a hidden gem to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate! Definitely coming back...

The entrance by the gate may cause some uncertainty, making you question if you're at the right place.

I liked the Spa verry much it was relaxing, I even dozed off, real value for money

I ordered salmon for dinner it was a bit burned did not like it. Some of the staff @ the dinning hall were not friendly she did not give us butter for bread @breakfast, when we asked for it she became annoyed, I loved my room even though it was a bit far from the river, no visible charging points I had to search for a plug to plug my phone charger. A cart or trolley for the luggage would assist a lot

Everything - it is a magical place. The whole experience was perfect. From the delightful staff welcoming us at the gates, through the scenic drive through the orchard, welcome drinks and facility tour, beautiful setting, great food, and the most unbelievable room, we can’t wait to come back.

Massages could be a lot better. Would like a selection of oils to choose from and better communication from the therapists. Like introducing themselves and asking where to focus on. The restaurant food prices are very high for the quality and portion size you get. Very noisy farm workers waking you up early morning.
