1. That the dinner discussion is not tightly contracted. I was not happy to pay for dinner that I didn't eat notwithstanding that it had been offered and I had agreed to have it. BUT due to unforseen circumstances I was unable to make it back in time. It needs to be emphasized beforehand that dinner will be charged. 2. Breakfast was flimsy. There is so much improvement needed there.

The Chestnut Country Lodge is located in an environment of low mountains with plantation and wood. Garden, pool, restaurant, bar and guest rooms were very clean and well maintained. Bed- and bathroom were newly renovated and had a modern design. Breakfast and dinner were rich and delicious. General manager and team provided much tourist information and material concerning Kruger Park and the hits of the Panorama Route and lokal Nature. I would definitely stay here again.

We received a warm welcome from Jacomine and felt like family smily by the time we left. The lodge is located in a peacful valley and has gorgeous views over the surrounding forest to the distant hills. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, and each room had a private verandah with comfy chairs. Breakfast has a great selection and was cooked really well. Great location for birders if you can stay an extra day 💜

The gravel roads to the lodge are a bit rough due to all the rain but if you drive slowly, you will be rewarded by the amazing venue

I was met with such warmth and hospitality. Such a calm and peaceful place. They went above and beyond for my comfort. The room was very big and spacious. They have a lovely and relaxing pool. Their breakfast was absolutely delicious and well prepared. I will truly not forget this place and I hope to visit again

You just cannot put to words the level of professionalism and hospitality that was displayed by the staff at Chestnut. Shane and Beukes are the Epitome of what a great Host should be. The food was excellent, the suites are modern and clean. A great thank you for accommodating me and my partner on her special day.

Everything was beyond expectation.

The location is amazing and this is despite the recent storm which damaged the approach road. The setting overlooking the Kiepersol valley is awesome. The lodge itself is a surprise, as is the incredible room. The hospitality was flawless and the breakfast sublime. An amazing surprise was the shampoo which said "Cucumber and Rose". Well, I thought I'd stumbled into an English rose garden!

The best view, room was so comfortable 😍 as well as the staff. If you are looking for Paradise you will find it here. Breakfast was super, and the BBQ and African dance night was so much fun. We scheduled our Kruger safari through the resort, and it was spectacular . This is a gem and will not disappoint. I give it 5*.....

Wonderful staff, amazing view, and comfortable room. Comfortable bed and mattress although the bed is a bit small. Great breakfast with the breathtaking views. Safe and secured place. I would recommend it.

The road to reach the hotel is not in the best condition but is safe.

Great thought was put into ensuring each guest was given what their preferences were as we filled a form for the same the night before with ample choices! A great way to cut down on wastage also

Absolutely amazing hosts. loved the rooms, the pool, the food,… the chef prepared something vegetarian with lots of thought. We’re just sad we missed their friday Braai. Really hope they (re)launch the idea of food safaris because that would be just incredible. Hpe to be back one day!

would easily give it a 10/10 if they had had a generator. Load shedding is absolutely awful for the entire country, so we understands it’s an extra expense. But apparently there will be one soon.
