We stayed in the self-catering unit and therefore did not make use of the restaurant facilities at all. The suite is private and has its own swimming pool, outdoor shower, barbeque area and patio. It is beautifully decorated and there's attention to detail in terms of supplying items such as an extension cord, bottled water, a beverage station, etc. The gardens are beautiful. Bushbaby Valley Lodge is conveniently located close to Hazyview, Graskop, Kruger National Park, White River, Mbombela, etc.

The premium suite requires small items such as a breadboard and drying cloths [for dishes]. We feel some thought needs to be given to how one accesses the bathroom. The bathroom is located between the kitchen/living area and the bedroom. The bathroom door opens straight onto the kitchen and living area with the toilet position in full view of the kitchen and living area. It's just odd and not practical.

The deluxe double room was comfortable to stay in,spacious,the touches to the decor absolutely beautiful.The breakfast was delicious,thank you Chef Success,the waiters Bradley,Phumelele and Sifiso.Not forgetting the lady at reception.i enjoyed the spa treatment as well,it was relaxing.

Some items on the menu were not the like avocado,halloumi..it was a weekend and I felt they should have stocked up.The portion for oxtail was little for the price we paid and they didn’t have mimosas 😕

Perfect location for a retreat - away from the city life. A beautiful lush lodge with the sound of birds and waters down the valley, absolutely breath taking. The food from the restaurant was exceptional (always on point), their fries were always perfect and their chicken mayo sandwich is to die for, the best I ever had. The main pool area has amazing views and it's so clean, we really enjoyed our time there. From the staff, to waiters all the way to house keeping, we were very pleased and satisfied. The weather temperatures were quite high during our stay but the aircon came in very handy and would keep our room nice and cool.

We stambled upon a few roaches on the bed and inside the closet the first night, but we managed to go to town the next morning to get some doom for that. Which is about 10km away from the lodge.

Excellent location to nearby attractions. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and modern. There are pools, a restaurant, a spa and enough property space to do a walk. Great decking area to listen to the tranquility of the river. The facility is a must stay and definitely will be returned to.

Location was perfect. Its in the middle of the nature. Perfect for visiting Blyde river canyon, Graskop and Sabie Area. Also close to Kruger

Easy access to hotel. , and the staff starting from security, reception and house keeping were friendly and very helpful. The place is beautiful(out of this world) 👌 we had the previllage of sleeping in the delux room, which was beautiful, the bed comfortable. The aircon was working very well. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for self catering.

Thank you so much to Mahlatse who gave us a feel of one of the villa✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ the place is stunning with an outside shower and private pool. The restaurant staff we friendly and Iphriam gave us a 5* treatment. Dinner was delicious and well cooked. Breakfast was nice and quickly served.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Bushbaby Lodge from 19th - 23rd May. We paid £375 through booking.com and it was well worth every penny. On arrival we were very surprised at how big the property is. By our calculations there could be around 30 guests maximum at one time, but luckily for us there was just us and one other couple, although we didn't see them at all. The whole property is spotless and the staff cannot do enough to make your stay as relaxing and perfect as possible. The golf cart to take you back up the hills is a godsend. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who has walking difficulties. There are a lot of steps and slopes to navigate. We had a super relaxing time. We lay in the the sun, enjoyed the pool and ate and drank our fill. It was a perfect end to our time in South Africa and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

The WiFi is poor but the staff told us they are aware of this and steps are being taken to improve it.

The staff went out of their way to make my love's birthday a memorable one. The spa ladies were amazing and a special thank you to Felicity for coordinating the suprise.🫰

We were welcomed with cold hand/face towels to freshen up as well as a welcome drink. Receptionist was also very good, and communicated very well in terms of activities booked etc.

The braai is a shared braai couple of meters away from the unit, without any seating. Our game drive to the Kruger National Park was supposed to be from 05:30 - 13:00 according to the brochure, but we were back at 11:45. That was a bit disappointing, as we haven’t seen all the animals we would have liked to see, and we could have used the extra 1h15min to search for them.
