Joe and Lorraine were very friendly to us. They even gave us an idea on where to get our last minute groceries on our way to the Lodge. We were told beforehand what we would need to bring with us for a comfortable stay at the lodge. They love dogs and we are also crazy about dogs so we found beautiful dogs in their property and they allowed our dog to interact it was such a beautiful scene!

We had a wonderful stay there we liked everything and definitely we'll go back there in summer. I'd recommend the place to friends and family. It was my fiancé's birthday and he wished to have a quite celebration in a remote area he loved the place

Excellent hosts, kind and quite thoughtful. Check-in experience was refreshing indeed..Joe and his lightheartedness gave us chuckles throughout 😃A rather warm welcome. The dogs are friendly..we had our very own guard Oscar..who'd visit our chalet every now and again.☺️ Moreover, It’s not just Woodland "Gardens" it's garden of Eden with gorgeous plants and trees..the decorations etc. Enchanting👌🏽We enjoyed our stay🌻

We went to recharge our batteries. And that is what we got. Woodlands Garden is provided peace, quiet and tranquility. Our 2-paw and 4-paw toddlers loved the freedom of running and exploring nature in an unobstructed manner. On the deck they provided firewood, which you paid for only if used.

There were periods without electricity. However, given that that is the norm in South Africa these days, the situation is beyond the control of Woodland Garden. They do provide a battery operated light, as well as some hurricane lamps for such occasions. The water pressure tended to be a bit on the low side.

Everything. The staff were very friendly and informative and their customer service was an 11 out of 10. The place is stunning and comfortable. We will definitely be going back.

I would just suggest maybe looking into a way to make it easier for guests to load and offload their vehicles, as the car park is not directly outside the Loerie chalet. Perhaps a golf cart that a staff member can operate to transport the luggage?

The reception we got from Joe, the host, was fantastic. We went during the cold front, but we were kept warm by the fireplace.

It was value for money, so there was nothing much to complain about. Just one complaint about the bed provided to baby wasn't that comfortable but understandable that it was surplus to requirement

The owners of the place where I stayed were very professional and helpful. I arrived late and unfortunately the booking was not yet showing on their side so in a way were not ready for me. But they really went out of their way to get me another different place that they owned that was ready and made sure I was comfortable.

I liked everything

I liked everything about the place it's very quiet and clean. A very nice place to cuddle with your partner the dogs were friendly as well , especially Alaska very huge but doesn't bite

It is very cold there i would suggest people to go there in summer not winter

The location is great, not too far out but far enough to get away from the busy city life. Amazing views, great for change of scenery and very peaceful in the afternoons, great for afternoon naps, very private too.

The husband is a lovely first face to get introduced to! He takes hosting and settling you in to a whole new level. The cottage and surroundings are beautiful and well kept, being greeted by all the doggies were my favorite 😍 I will definitely be coming back and have friends and family come as well. Lots of fun activities to do in the area.
