Annerie and her staff were extremely helpful and kind, going out of their way to assist my very ill/almost immobile fiancé to get into our room and back to the car the next day, even letting us park the car closer - entering via the service entrance. Laundry service was quick, efficient and so affordable. Also accommodating re fiancé's breakfast taken to room.

No complaints - there was even a big fan in the room to cool us down on this extremely hot day. Friendly and efficient service received throughout.

We loved the friendliness of the staff and the very wonderful breakfast and waiter that we had. The beds were very comfortable, and the room had everything in that one could ask for.

The room was next to the bar, that was a bit noisy after 11:00 pm still, but that was not too bad. The possible accident at around 3:00am was what woke me, but the location could not help for bad drivers in the road. Maybe some milk or small container of milk for morning coffee would be nice.

The building, staff & breakfast was awesome. The mattress was good & the bedding smelled nice & clean.

Some items in the room need some attention. The side tables are a little old and need replacing, the shower door didn't close. Some make shift repairs seem to have been done to reattach the towel railing which look a little shoddy and the cupboard smelled musty so I didn't use it.

Very accommodating and friendly staff . Good value for money for a great one night stay . We forgot some valuables but Amanda ensured it is kept safe and collected .

It was a great one night stay but giving the high temperatures during the Cape summer it was almost impossible to sleep in the heat. Although budget friendly maybe as a long term solution air con would make is such a more pleasant stay and I would definitely return . Although a fan is provided it brought limited relief .

Friendly staff. House was built in 1875 with lovely wooden floors and beautiful ceilings. Good breakfast. Good location. Comfortable beds.

No air conditioning - not a problem since the weather was good when we visited - but can be problem in December. There is a moveable fan - a ceiling fan would be preferable. Ample parking on the premises but there is no fence/gate to secure the vehicles at night. We occupied two rooms. The one was twice the size of the other - but the price was the same. Not sure if we were "upgraded" on one room in which case we would be thankful.

My plane arrived very late and both the taxi that they had organised (Adiel) and manager Amanda were very patient and waited for me. The hotel is a lovely building in a pleasant garden, quiet, and very comfortable. The full breakfast was well cooked and delicious and other meals looked interesting and very reasonable. What a find!

The breakfast was really tasty and the location for eating was very neat. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. The breakfast also included all that I could want.

One issue was the shower door didn't close properly.

Location. The traditional old world vibe. Always free welcome. Rooms are very comfortable. We love the breakfast served. Staff are always so welcoming.

It’s easy to navigate with plenty of parking. Felt safe. The breakfast was very yummy. We liked the ‘historic’ feeling of the property.

I didn’t like the carpets and old curtains in the room.
