Breakfast was a mix of a continental spread with an addition of made to order hot food each morning, and even with very last minute super speedy request the team were very eager to help. Food was delicious, fresh and very well prepared. The coffee was also excellent.

More of a personal pet peeve as I struggle with light sensitivity, the roll down blinds on the east-ish facing window, as much as they were blockout, because of their design and how they sit they don't do much for blocking out the rising sun coming in through the sides and reflecting off walls in the very early hours and the room was completely flooded with light as though the blind was not even there. I managed to use the blanket as a curtain over the blind and happily went back to sleep.

In a word, sublime! The Waterstone Lodge possesses the perfect combination between effortlessly stylish and unassuming comfort that other guest houses can only aspire to achieve. Every element has been thoughtfully masterminded with quality at the heart of every decision; from weighted throws and crisp linen to the chilled music that invites you to languish in the splendour of the place, whilst Andrew conjures up (with aplomb, I might add) the most sensational breakfast in the open plan kitchen/diner. You won’t find a better Guest House breakfast. Believe me. Nor will you find a more gracious host in Andrew, who embodies the spirit of hospitality. He kindly found some last-minute accommodation for myself, then took the time to follow up with my new host that I have arrived safely. Andrew has not only nailed the hospitality ‘brief’, but he has also taken it to new heights. Waterstone Lodge has been firmly placed in my ‘top-drawer’ of places to visit when I return next year.

There was nothing I didn't like about my stay.

The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. I haven't slept that well in ages (also thanks to the black out curtains).

The manager was a bit impatient and snappy with another guest, who happened to be an elderly man. Something about a coffee machine not working. I really didn't like seeing that.

The room which was allocated to us was nicely located and easily accessible by ramp from the parking and the pool was nearby. It was very clean and comfortable. We took a glass of wine out to the table in the garden courtyard and it was most pleasant. The breakfast buffet was so generous, interesting and enjoyable that we didn't explore hot breakfast. Andrew's attention to all details was great.

There was really nothing that we did not like. One would have to be pretty fussy to find something to complain about.

Home away from home, beautiful setting and wonderful ammenities. Perfect for a work trip and it must be noted many international travellers on holiday were also present. The staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests.

Heavy traffic to Cape Town CBD can't be avoided, plan accordingly.

My room was very big, crispy clean, smells so good. They have full toiletries, bar fridge with drinks and snack. What I also loved is the ropes and sleepers are provided. Nice crispy white. The host is super friendly. ....the host with the mostess. Very helpful and handy. Gives tips about good restaurants, good spots, wine farms etc. Breakfast was very nice too😋😋

Very elegant property with beautiful grounds. Substantial and well presented breakfast which we were able to eat outside in the beautiful garden. Such a welcoming and friendly Owner. Would highly recommend a stay here. Only a short drive into Cape Town.

The breakfasts were amazing. There was so much to choose from. The omelette, poached egg, fried mushrooms and grilled tomatoes especially made for me was so delicious. The beds are so comfortable, we always had hot water and Wi-Fi. An ideal place to work! The atmosphere is wonderful and the owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely return. Thank you!

Everything was exceptional. The service, the staff, the breakfast all wonderful. I felt at home. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures and more. Thank you Charmaine for being such a wonderful host.
