John and Jenny were great hosts, great communication and extremely helpful with tips on where to go and what to see. The house is located in a beautiful area with a couple of restaurants within a 5 min drive. The vineyards are never far away making days out very easy and convenient We had a garden view room, spacious and light with a kitchenette that was ideal for us. The bed was comfy and the room spotless. We look forward to our next visit to SA and revisiting Rembrandt house . Thank you both

Their guesthouse is amazing value for a homely feel with superb and polished amenities in a great location in upmarket and secure Somerset West. Great for short term stays to explore the wineries/mountains/coast in the area or also for a longer term stay given the value and amenities+furnishings available. This is a testament to the fact they already have high rating reviews across the board

Over the past 20 years I have stayed in many guesthouses in South Africa, including a few in Somerset West. 5 Rembrandt was easily the best experience I’ve had – anywhere in SA. The accommodation was everything one could hope for: well appointed, nicely decorated, spacious, well maintained, efficiently serviced, and comfortable. Our room also had air conditioning and heating available, something often missing from SA guesthouses. 5 Rembrandt has extensive provision to offset load-shedding, making the stay even more comfortable when the power is off. Two of three other guesthouses we accessed had no provision for load-shedding, which made things quite inconvenient for long periods of time. The setting is beautiful, whether looking out over the lovely landscaping and koi pond or the secluded pool area. The guesthouse is secure and has beautiful views of False Bay and Strand from the entryway. Jenny and John are gracious hosts who took great care to be helpful and friendly without being unnecessarily intrusive. They were promptly responsive to the few requests we had, and certainly went the extra mile to ensure that we were having a good stay. 5 Rembrandt is well worth the stay. We will be returning from the US as often as we can.

We loved the spaciousness, cleanliness, neatness and colourful interior. The room was well equipped and well stocked with everything we needed. The hosts Jenny and John were so kind and made us feel welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

Jenny and John are fabulous hosts. Both did everything to made us feel home.

Very clean & upmarket.

We arrived after 21h00 due to unforseen circumstances & the host was very upset with us & whatsapped us she wants to go to bed because she has a bussy day ahead. We did let her know about our late arrival.

It was neat and clean.

I liked the fact that the room was private, neat and offered everything that you need such as air-conditioning, tv, small kitchen or wash-up area, shower and bath.

Pristine accommodation. Crisp, clean and tastefully decorated. Out two adjacent rooms, separated by a fully equipped kitchen was perfect for our needs.
