I was overjoyed with my stay at Winelands. It was a last minute booking for a business trip so options were limited but I needn't have worried - I'd rebook this straight away next time. Gorgeous views, great pool and garden area which was a great place to relax on the weekend. The entire guesthouse and gardens were carefully looked after and clean. Great location - 7 minute drive from Somerset Mall and surrounding offices. 30 mins from Cape Town airport and close to many activities I believe. Good breakfast provided. Julie & George are both lovely and accommodating (I had a delayed flight/luggage situation and turned up later than expected, not only had they reached out to make sure I was ok, they stayed later to welcome me without any hesitation). Their staff are also fantastic and it was clear they are well looked after and have been with Julie & George for a.long time which is nice to see. Thanks guys for looking after me!

If I had to be fussy and find a 'fault', I'd ask for some kind of cooking facilities either communally or in the room but as I say, this is if I was being fussy.

Lovely property with stately trees, swimming pool was loved by children. Breakfast was good, wide range of options to choose from , very friendly staff accommodating of specific requests and tolerant of children from age 2-16yrs old.

The R44 road runs just below the property, and though not an issue during the day as a high sound-proof wall is in place, the soft purring of traffic sounded like rain and was a mild disturbance in the morning.

It was very clean and felt very safe. All were extremely helpful and friendly. We also appreciated the boutiquey personal vibes and felt very looked after. Great shower strength as well. Great location for surrounding wine estates.

Tiny bit stuffy in dining area during warmer days. Otherwise, everything was just about perfect.

The staff and owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The Guest House was ideally located in Somerset West, with good access everywhere. Great Wi Fi all around the property, safe and secure parking on site.

There was nothing we didn’t like as such, the many rooms available were often very different in style and presentation, we are aware the owners are trying to standardise and present the rooms to be similar in size and appearance.

The bedroom was spacious with great facilities. Dresser, wardrobe, bedside tables and tea/coffee stocked up regularly including gorgeous shortbread biscuits! View from restaurant area was fantastic. Staff were lovely, helpful, accommodating and friendly. The property felt safe. Somerset west area was lovely, with short trip to supermarket and restaurants.

Nothing I don’t like. If you’re wanting to travel into Cape Town city, definitely recommend renting a car.

We ate with our family in the villa. Location was perfect for visiting the winelands in the area and also other Cape Town attractions. The staff were exceptionally helpful in helping us plan our visits to various attractions in the area.

Lovely big pool. Many relaxing places to sit or lay in the sun or under the trees. Clean and comfy rooms, including fridge. Friendly staff. Nice views, including of Strand beachfront and ocean. Easy booking and check-in.

Nothing really. Bit more variety for breakfast maybe, e.g. add pastries, more halal options.

We stayed in Winelands for the last days of our 3 month journey through Southern Africa. Even tough we were a bit sad to leave after 3 months, the staff made our stay wonderful. Everybody is very helpful and friendly. The facilities are great and food very tasty. Had some great talks with the owner and he even took us to local shelter where we could donate clothes and food we couldn’t take with us. As a surprise he took us to the beach. Incredible stay. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking to stay in and around Somerset or is headed to the Int. Airport. Sonny, Marije & Oliver.

Everything was perfect. Lovely breakfast, views from the property, and a beautiful spacious room. Received a warm welcome from Julie who was very accommodating. Excellent communication.

Such a stunning place to stay. The staff were amazing and so helpful. Was in a beautiful location, not far from the R44 to get into the Winelands and N2 to get into Cape Town. Also a convenience store just up the road. Was great that it had a pool too, which my kids loved, and was kept really clean.
