It was very nice. We stayed at many guest houses in South Africa and this was among the best, if not the best. The breakfast was top notch, the kids loved the pool, the staff is friendly and sees if you need something. The host is very welcoming and we had a good conversation. The building, furniture are in proper order and the style of everything fits and is on point.

We did not like that a dinner was cancelled, which should have been in the country house. However that is ok, since most guest houses do not even offer dinner and only hotels or other bigger accomodations offer dinner. So as we prefer smaller guest houses, we don't expect dinner offered. Here it was offered but then later cancelled. The other thing, which might not be perfect, but did not apply, was aircon. In our case we did not need it, it was 26°C, I can imagine if it's above 30°C you might want to have aircon. But I also dunno if that happens often if you are close to the coast.

This small lodge is away from town, but not too far. The place is surrounded by nature and very quiet. We saw Nyalas every time we left and entered. Our cottage was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is huge and has got a bath and decent size shower with great water pressure. The breakfast was delicious and the staff exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The lodge is old English style, very well maintained and classy. We were very positively surprised and would definitely stay there again.

Maybe a bigger tv for the lounge and one in the bedroom. Gas for the fireplace would be awesome if facilities were checked in advance. I do appreciate that the staff went out of their way to ensure a heater was placed instead

We were greeted as we arrived and all the staff were very friendly. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and extremely comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was a well stocked mini bar. Excellent breakfast with a good menu. Nice touches were that the bed was turned down and a scented diffuser lit. Dinner was not available on the day we arrived (which we knew about) but Sarah recommended a local restaurant and booked it for us, it was superb. ( called the Never Mind).

We had a beautiful cottage. And we loved the restaurant and the pool. It’s very quiet and there are many places where you can walk .

The Country House is perfectly nested between beautiful vegetation. Guests can enjoy privacy through the property and the attention to details make this an amazing stay.

Excellent breakfast, helpful and very friendly staff and beautiful room. Perfect location for visiting St Francis. Well worth a visit - we'll be back!

Due to rescheduling of flight, we did a last minute booking at the Dune Ridge. But boy, we’re we glad we had to do this. Located in a nature reserve, luxury awaits you once you overcome the adventurous entry. We were helped by the staff in a way you cannot imagine, even arranging meals to de delivered by a local restaurant in our room. The family-cottage was super including a huge terrace and a gas-fireplace!

The setting, the rroms and the lodge are fantastic. Quiet, traditional and very relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The staff were incredible, the meals were delicious, the views were so stunning! Will definitely be back.
