I had a wonderful stay at Kalahari Lions Rest! The location is peaceful, and the surroundings are beautiful. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience.

The only downside was the showerhead, which was mounted a bit low—at 5'9" (1.81 meters), I had to bend down to wash my hair. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this tranquil retreat in Upington!

Rooms are spacious with a lot of amenities. The view from the guesthouse is amazing. Received a friendly welcome from our host. The aircon and fan in the room helps with the hot summer days and nights. One of the more affordable accommodation options in the area.

There were a couple of cockroaches in my room. They did provide insecticide to get rid of the cockroaches. The room could have been a little bit cleaner.

We stayed here for two nights while on our way to Springbok for the annual Namaqua flower season. It’s a good overnight place while in the area and while doing some sightseeing. There is access to all the necessary amenities that you might need for a single night. There is a generator during loadshedding which was a bonus. Reception was friendly and helpful – and even helped us with our luggage! Safe parking provided with gate access.

The rooms are mostly located adjacent to each other and seeing as it is a large wood building, the rooms are not soundproof. The beds were not very comfortable (hard) and they can definitely increase the heat on the gas geyser (shower) as the water was lukewarm. The room and bathroom is split by a curtain, so this might bother some guests looking for privacy.

Location was great. Our host was amazing, she was the most welcoming, gave us a few recommendations about where to visit. Communication was great and generally very helpful.

While wooden homes look great and are enjoyable to visit, there are some disadvantages. We killed quite a number of roaches on our first night and our neighbours were quite loud so we hardly slept. 2nd night we were more prepared so we managed to get some sleep.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short 1-night stay (arrived late afternoon and left 06h00 next day). rooms were spacious and comfortable, a plan had been made for load-shedding with lighting and a generator. Easy parking and a helpful and considerate host that met us on arrival. Simple but ample self-catering equipment. comfortable beds/ bedding.

I wouldnt want to be in the room below us (wooden floors) as I think it could be quite noisy with the room above.

1. The view from the balcony is great. 2. The filter coffee was a pleasant surprise. 3. The water came out of the shower nice and strong: very effective for loosening one's muscles after a long day's drive.

1.The shower doors are not user-friendly, according to me: they came off their "railing". 2. It really isn't a very private set-up. We could hear the neighbour's TV in the background. And I don't want to use ear plugs! Luckily the landlady is working on making the walls more sound-proof.

The rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. The location is also great, in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of town. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our inconvenient arrival time late in the afternoon on easter Sunday.

When you are unlucky to get noisy neighbours in the room next door, it could be a problem as the wooden walls are not sound proof.

The water bottle in the fridge was a great surprise and the bed very comfy and loved how clean the room were.

The showers. I guess i just didn't know how to work with the gas geyser. The aircon was also very noisy at night. It sounded like bees on top of my head 😂

The location of the property is very well placed. Close to the mall and other restaurants and close to the N14 highway. Safe parking on site is a bonus as I traveled with a trailer and there was space for the trailer and my vehicle.

Clean, well-kept, and very friendly and safe rooms very nice, and beds slept amazing.

Shower hot water was a bit tricky either too hot or none at all.ended with cold showers. Thankfully, it was pleasant cause of the heat 😃
