I loved the hostel, great location, right next to the metro and super clean. The only part I disliked was the lack of respect and human decency from others staying there aswell. Letting the door slam at like 3 am and not caring about anyone else trying to sleep, a few times I was woken up by someone just slamming stuff about early hours in the morning. I also think the hairdryer should be stopped earlier like 11pm, as it is quite loud and wakes you up when you have an early morning. Its not the hostel itself but thought id say if you wanted a quiet place to stay this one isnt it.

The location is great! It’s less then a 3 minute walk from the metro and bus station and there’s a bus service directly from the airport to Ehwa uni so it was really easy getting there. Self check-in was easy and the dorms had a roller blind so more privacy then a normal hostel which was great. There’s multiple power outlets and also multiple ones in the common area.

The showers were outside the rooms so you had to go to the hallway each time you had to shower. They also don’t have a clear way of telling if someone was in the bathroom or not so sometimes it was a bit of a search for a free bathroom. You share them with the entire hostel so during peak hours they might all be full. The common area is also quite small so sometimes there’s not enough space to sit there. The wifi is also not very good. The staff is not there most of the time (at least someone at reception) so if you need something there’s not always someone who can help you right away. This hostel is also not social at all but that does give more privacy as everyone just kind of minds their own business.

I loved how convenient it was to get to the subway station. The area is a university area (the entrance of Ewha Uni is mere steps away) and so it’s always bustling during the weekdays, so you never feel alone or unsafe. The staff were so nice and I appreciated having access to the free sachets of shampoo and body wash (both were so good! My hair laments that it will never be so beautiful again!) and the daily changes of towel. I also love how safe I felt in the property. No man allowed in and you can just tell all the women there felt the same.

This is just a minor gripe but climbing the stairs after doing 20k plus steps on the daily is not for the faint of heart. There’s no lift access, so your glutes will need to be strong.

Had an amazing stay at Philstay Ehwa Boutique. Check-in was easy and hassle-free. You can store medium-sized suitcases under your bed, which is really convenient. The curtain on the bed offers nice privacy. I really liked the fact that there was space right next to the bed to put some of my stuff. The services offered are great: breakfast, towels that can be changed every day and even toiletries if you've forgotten yours (shampoo, shower gel). The staff is also really kind and worked hard to keep everything clean. Easy access to all the city's points of interest thanks to the subway station just a little walk away.

Full of facilities! I love this place. The price per nice is good. Moreover, they included breakfast such as bread, egg, milk, orange juice, con-flake. They have the laundry! And they have like 5 toilets so it's enough for all guests. I do not have to wait for using the toilet. And the toilets are clean. The location is good also. I could walk straight from Ewha uni. Station. The staffs are super nice! And this place is safe for woman who travel alone like me. I would recommend everyone for staying here.

I got the 2nd bed. So, it's a little bid hard to clim there. And for my 2nd day, there was the construction at another floor and It's loud since morning.

Just 5 minutes walk from Ewha station, you can come here by subway or airport bus no. 6002. 7-11 and plenty of restaurants nearby, Olive Young right under the property with not too crowded but not too quiet neighborhood. Free self-cook easy breakfast, eggs, bread, cereal, milk and juice. Comfy bed with blinder as shown in the photo so you can have your own personal space.

I think 8 beds room might be too crowded comparing the room size and can be a little bit noisy, 4 or 6 beds would be better (6 is the best, I tried every room here already and 6 is the biggest).

Of all the hostels I've stayed in Seoul in my eleven visits, I must say that this is one of my favorites so far. Aside from the high ratings I've provided, this hostel gave me a lot of happy memories which I will really remember :) Special mention to the hardworking and friendly staff, Hye, for the exceptional services she extended during my stay :) Location - it is located a stone's throw away from Ehwa Women's University, and few blocks away from the subway station so this place is somehow strategic (lots of shops, cafe, restaurants around, although they close a bit early -- beginning 7:30 pm). Taxis also pass by the area regularly so it is also easy to get a ride when you need one. Bed - the room for the eight dorm beds is quite small, with a little space for everyone to walk in to so if you have big luggage, you need to store it in the common area outside the room (but it's safe, don't worry! There are CCTV cameras all over common areas). The dorm bed itself is quite spacious, though. If you have a small luggage, it can also fit beside the mattress. I don't like super soft mattress so the one that's provided is good enough for me. The only issue that I have is that I move a lot in sleep, and the mattress creates a sound like crumpling paper or plastic even in small movements haha! Breakfast - basic breakfast is offered, but is enough to fill you up for the morning grind (bread for toasting, eggs, cereals, milk, juice, coffee, tea). There are also basic cooking utensils in the dorm so if you feel like cooking basic meals, you can also do so. WIFI connection is also not an issue because common areas and even the rooms (and bathrooms!) have fast internet connection.

It's not that I didn't like, but just a comment so others would also have an idea to also set their expectations :) The facility is situated at the third floor of the building WITHOUT an elevator. So if you have a heavy luggage, it can get quite hard to bring it up in flights of staircases. Rooms are not 100% sound proof so some outside noise tend to seep in the doors/small open spaces under the door.

It's excellently located near the train station and nearby eateries and cafes in a relatively quiet area. Bed is very comfortable and breakfast is also nice. Staff very helpful and polite.

Many guests dont bother to open/close doors quietly even past midnight and also very noisy when packing or moving around the room during bedtime.

The location was good only about 5 mins walk to the subway/underground station. The staff were nice and I was quite comfortable in the 4 bed room. A simple breakfast is available Cereal, toast, eggs and coffee which you make yourself if you want it. There are washing machines available for use, though I was only there 3 nights and didn't use them.

It didn't bother me as I only had a backpack, but there is no elevator and the hostel is on the 3rd floor so I can see it might be difficult if you had a large suitcase or some mobility issues.

first of all, I want to note that I liked the location. from here, it is convenient to go to both Hongdae and historical places (Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokkun, etc.), very close to the 2nd line of the subway, many buses that go in different directions. the place is quite quiet, near two big universities. the rooms have air conditioning. slippers, towels, shampoo/shower gel, and hairdryer are provided. The bed is comfy and I had 2 pillows provided. the hostel has its own rules regarding the use of a hairdryer - a big plus for me. each bed is separated by a shutter so as not to disturb the neighbors. there are 4 sockets and a separate light by the bed. The breakfast provided was good. The luggage may be stored before check-in time// after checkout

- no elevator at the place (if you have big luggage, it might be a drawback) - inconvenient to turn on the private light if you have an upper bed - while showering, the water periodically gets cold as other people are also using the water. an unpleasant bonus in the form of a contrast shower. Although the air conditioner worked at 25°, my room was cold in the morning
