I liked the room. It was a bit sparce but I can understand why they decorated that way. It was comfortable and the view wasn't bad. I liked the delivery of fresh towels and bottled water the next morning. Having a freezer was great especially with how hot it is at the moment. Location was good - easy to get around. I think a few taxi drivers were a bit unsure of the name of the building but they managed to find it with the address.

No dryer or rack after you washed clothes. No iron. No cutlery or plates/bowls. I understand they don't want you to cook but they did provide a microwave which sort of defeats the object as you can eat in the room. I was a little disturbed when just before midnight a man tried to enter my room. I did shout he got wrong room. I don't know if he was drunk but it perturbed me as a solo female traveller. However, that is not the company's fault.

Very nice, stylish apartment close to the fish market. The check-in and -out is online and is really seamless. The host is also very quick to respond! There’s a convenience store in the building which is very handy.

It wasn’t clear that the boiler needs to be turned on (as a non-Korean speaker I didn’t realize one panel on the wall was to control the hot water and heating). I was surprised that it wasn’t allowed to cook even though there was a stove. It wasn’t an issue for us but I can imagine someone books an apartment to have a possibility to cook. But all these things were minor and didn’t affect our stay.

The room is really clean, and what's cool is that you can check in anytime because they have an easy self-check-in system. If you ever need help, you can call or message them on KakaoTalk, and the staff is super friendly and speaks English well. The hotel's location is awesome. It's close to lots of shops, restaurants, and markets, perfect for exploring Sokcho. Plus, it's easy to get to Seoraksan and nearby areas. Inside the room, you've got everything you need – a big fridge, TV, hairdryer, and even a balcony with a great view. It's super convenient and made my stay even better. Highly recommend!

Chose this hotel because of the good location (near the local Sokcho market, view of the lake and also the Soraksan mountains) The room was clean and had everything we needed. There is a convenience store on the first floor which is very convenient We had a late night check in and with the smart key we received via email, had no problem checking in without any help from the hotel staff. I recommend this hotel, for the price and quality of services it is one of the best in Sokcho

My experience at Sky Residence Hotel was nothing short of amazing, thanks to their cutting-edge smart key technology. Easy check-in and check-out system. The room itself was well-equipped, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Clean and very comfortable! The hotel's location was also a huge plus, allowing me to easily explore the surrounding area. Will definitely come back. I highly recommend World Sky Residence Hotel for anyone visiting Sokcho area.

Good hotel, great location near restaurants, coffee shops, and market. Lovely surprise to use laundry machine inside the room - we were traveling a little bit so far so free laundry service was very convinient. Parking was good too. The facilities are awesome. Washing machine and a big fridge. Easy check-in and check-out system. Smart key system is very convinience if you check-in time is late. Clean, very comfy, and so affordable!

Great staff at Information desk, helpful in assisting getting a taxi to bus terminal. You need to be able to speak Korean, or at least know some common words. But very helpful in communicating. The view from the corner rooms is stunning for sunrise. Love the ondol heating, the TV, microwave, hot water kettle for coffee and the fridge to make the room very cozy.

Bidet on the toilet would have been really nice.

That was a nice experience. I had a chance to observe a mesmerising view of mountains and lake. The smart key system was also really comfortable because you don’t need other people to check in and check out, for introverts it can be a great benefit. Also the location is another topic. Near by you can find big market with delicious local food.

Convenient location and clean

Check in instructions translated to Korean was not clear. Didn’t know that no one would be there at the hotel to greet nor explain parking situation. Had to have a Korean phone but finally able to figure out that we could use What’s App to communicate.

Good location close to Sokcho fish market, Abai village and the Intercity bus station (25 min walk). The area is good for exploring central Sokcho, which is a very spread out place. Hotel is also close to a big street where you can hail taxis and take buses. The balcony view was incredible, loved waking up seeing the harbor and the sea! Room was very spacious and the bed big. I mainly booked for the view and washing machine (soooooo happy for the machine!) and that didn't disappoint.

The cleaning was poor, room was very dusty over all when I arrived and even the coffee mugs hadn't been cleaned properly. No change after cleaning was done either. Also there were many closets but only a few hangers. I didn't want to unpack my suitcase as the drawers were also dusty. There is a stove and a microwave but no cutlery or saucepans so I couldn't use either. No breakfast is available. This place is completely contact-free so has no staff on call either (you only have text contact with the staff). I was aware of this so it wasn't a problem for me but it makes it harder to get assistance on how to explore the town (go to one of the tourist information places instead).
