Breakfast buffet was amazing, we ate a couple of times in the buffet restaurant as well and they do themed evenings too. The nightly entertainment was an unexpected bonus. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean. Free shuttle to/from the beach but a very pleasant walk down too (15mins)

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the hotel. It is situated at top of a steep hill but this was no issue as there was a shuttle bus up and down and after 8pm we just got a taxi up which was no hassle either and cost €7.50

Huge choice at breakfast buffet and nice seating space out on balcony. Large pool that was not too busy in October. Rooms comfortable, with air con and large balcony, relatively quiet even though looking down onto bar/pool area. Location is fine if you have a car to get around the island; but even if not, only 10 minutes walk to beach, and free bus if you don't want to walk up the (very) steep hill is a useful service.

No kettle in the room so not able to have a cup of coffee. There was a fridge, but it leaked. Restaurant situation is not ideal if you only do B and B; although the website claims they have 4 restaurants, one is a fixed price buffet (and quite pricey for what you get); one is the pool bar, only open til 6 so no good for evening meals; and the others were bars not serving food. No public transport available; taxi to airport was around 30 Euros, which is a lot to do both ways if you're on your own.

Nice and complete breakfast with friendly staff. The room was spacious with a separation between the bathtub and toilette. The balcony was nice and inviting for additional end of the day rest listing the birds and trees.

The reduced number of parking spaces within the property premises. Guests marked the best swimming pool beds just before 8AM and show up 10AM or later which is unpolite and goes against the property policies. Nonetheless, did not. see any staff looking at this situation. When using the shower was not able to prevent water all over the bathroom due to inefficient shower curtain.

The evenings are filled with activities in the main area, starting from bingo at 9pm and various performances from 10-11:30pm. With a room with sea view in the main building, you can hear the singing and cheering unbearably loudly making it impossible to sleep— it will be a problem if you have an elderly or young children who need to sleep early. The rooms are very dated and are in need of complete refurbishment especially the kitchen and showers.

I stayed at Valentin Son Bou for 1 week all inclusive on my own and had the best time. Upon arrival, my room had a leak from the aircon but within half hour I got moved to another room (with a sea view which was an upgrade!) All staff were extremely nice, either at the restaurant, bars, cleaning and reception. The pool was amazing, and there were always subbeds available. There is a free shuttle to the beach which is convenient, but I wasn’t a fan of Son Bou beach, I think other beaches in the island are more stricking. The location is a bit isolated so if you want to do something at night you definitely need a vehicle. I rented a scooter for 2 days from reception and I definitely recommend it, it’s the best way to explore the island! The food was good with a lot of choice. Overall I’d definitely want to come back!

Music/entertainment was really loud until 11pm. Also I wished there were a couple more choices of cocktails in the all-inclusive package.

This hotel was spotless, the maids do a really good job at cleaning the rooms everyday always fresh towels. We had a slight issue on arrival were we had paid to upgrade our view and the view wasn’t great as it was blocked by a roof. The staff were able to sort this out and get us another room which was much better. Entertainment was great and lots of activities throughout the day. The staff were so so helpful, the most well mannered, friendly people and are a real credit to the hotel. Breakfast was AMAZING and so were the cocktails (wish we had of went all inclusive). Easy to get a sun lounger and would definitely recommend Valentin Son Bou :)

I had a very pleasant stay, even for a solo traveller. I regret not taking dinner included because the restaurant was excellent! Lots of different food every night and lot of choice. Staff was very kind and friendly. Lots of parking too and wonderful view from the balcony, amazing sunset even in a room without sea view. I totally recommend!

Not many sun beds, room a bit old and shower very dark.

The facilities were clean and in good condition, the highlight was the food quality and variety, we booked just with breakfast but ended up eating at the restaurant almost every meal.

There's a shortage of sun beds for the size of the hotel, and even though there's signs to not put you towels to mark your sun beds people do it all the time and staff doesn't intervene.

Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Great swimming pool and plenty of sun beds. Clean room. The hotel has an old fashioned feel about it but that adds to its charm for me. Good value for money.

Hotel is situated quite a way up in the hills from the beach. This is a small complaint as the hotel offer a free bus service regularly to the beach throughout the day. We also had a hire car so not a big problem.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The entertainment team, including Safy (Merengue, Salsa, Bachata), Chiara (outdoor Pilates), and Francesco (manager), made my experience unforgettable with their warm hospitality and other fun activities like Sjoelen, Karaoke and Paddle Yoga. Cristina at the restaurant was incredibly sweet, and the buffet offered a variety of delicious food options. The beach shuttle driver was always right on time. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard.

The room decoration was outdated.
