The property was clean, well located near the rail station which was a 30 minute train ride to the centre of Madrid. Has a good restaurant, but there are also many alternatives just next door. Cleaning staff were very flexible and helpful.

wifi was lost part way through and was basically out for 2-3 days. The unfortunate bit was that hotel reception staff were in the middle as they had reported it but whoever was responsible for fixing it were not very responsive with either fixing the problem or providing staff with answers. It was not such an issue for me personally as I had my own data but some other guests were evidently quite upset .

The staff at the reception were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food at the cafe was very affordable and nice - a great value for money! It's also very close to public transport - both train and buses - which helped us a lot as we did a fair bit of touring into central Madrid. Alcala de henares itself is also a very lovely town with a lot to see, and its town centre is just one stop away from La Garena station which is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely consider staying here. Highly recommended!

The staff were exceptionally good especially when booking in and exceedingly helpful. I'm not a tourist as such I need overnight accommodation that is pet friendly as I travel solo backwards and forwards between my home here in Spain and my home in uk. It's wonderful to find hotels that help out in this way. I cannot comment on facilities in the local area other than to say that for a town environment there is an area opposite the hotel where dogs can be walked.easily

There is one small point that I would make which is relevant for elderly people and that is the shower is integral to the bath so climbing in and out without a bath mat can be quite hazardous because it can get very slippy. I have no other point to make because the facilities were excellent for a 3 star hotel

The bed was very comfortable and they welcome pets, front desk staff were very polite and helpful, the hotel is right next to a food court with a wide range of dinner options, the breakfast was decent, it's just about exactly halfway between Lisbon and Barcelona so pretty perfect for my needs

You can hear your neighbours very clearly through the walls (fortunately everyone was quiet at night) and the ramp to the subterranean parking was open even though the entrance was shut, so I had to reverse out

Close to La Garena, which is a sort of new quarter in Alcala, the Campanile is reasonably well located. It does take some time to walk to the center of Alcala(around 20-30 minutes) but most of this route can be taken through a park area. The bathroom has a bathtub, which is not always a given but always a great comfort. Beds were not too soft or too hard, and the blankets were light which was appropriate for the weather. There was a good choice of foods for breakfast, with local foods as well as the standard pastry/scrambled eggs/bacon spread.

It could be a bit noisy at night due to other guests. There was no iron/ironing board available in the room. The bathroom did not include a toilet brush, and all provided cups in room were paper cups.

Excellent meal in their restaurant, and very good value. Menu del dia was offered, which consisted of 3 courses,bread and a drink, at a very good price of €13.70 per head. The homemade cheese cake was delicious. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very friendly staff.

I don't like their charging system, I got charged twice on my card before I arrived, then one disappeared, then I was charged on arrival, and was given a refund for one of the payments, all very confusing.

Bed comfortable, good shower, very helpful and friendly staff. We originally planned to travel by car to the hotel but decided to fly from another city in Spain and then used a taxi from the airport - the hotel is in a great location if arriving by car but it is in a suburb of Madrid (Alcala de Henares) so requires a train ride into the city centre - the train station at La Garena is only 3 minutes walk from the hotel and the journey into Atocha station (one of the main, central stations) is about 35 minutes). We travelled into Atocha station and back three times - pretty easy to do. We also travelled back to the airport by train and metro - quite easy to do as it is possible to ride on a frequent train service that will take you through Atocha and on a further 2 stops where the change to metro towards the airport is made - cost just over 10 euros each person in total. The breakfast was good and we had lunch the first day we were there - we are vegetarian and we managed to find food we wanted to eat. Nearby, there are two petrol stations if you travel by car and need fuel or just need a late night snack - the hotel also sells soft drinks and ice lollies from a fridge and freezer (just pay at reception). There is a bar too. We had a stroll to the local square in the morning that we left - not much open at that point but I believe it comes to life at 1.30 in the afternoon - there are a number of places to eat and drink there. I think that the hotel has everything that is needed for a short stay on the outskirts of Madrid but as I said before, there are other facilities around if you need anything different from what the hotel offers.

Free on site parking and 24 HR reception was helpful as we were travelling from Santander and couldn't be sure exactly when we were going to arrive. A kettle in the room with coffee and milk sachets was a welcome touch.

We thought the restaurant would be open in the evening (it was a Sunday). This wasn't a big problem as there were other eateries open within a two-minute walk from the hotel.

I LOVED the hotel restaurant -- it was excellent, and the food was delicious. I liked the on-site hotel parking. I liked the convenience to the metro I liked the neighborhood

I didn't like my bed - it felt "broken. " The "bed" was two twin beds mashed together, so when you look at them, I am referring to the bed on the right (closest to the closet). It shakes slightly when you first lay on it like it's missing a screw. The comfort of the bed was good, the pillows were soft, and the comforter was warm (sometimes too warm - I got hot at night). One final thing I noticed twice during my stay was a noise coming from the bathroom or the hallway that sounded like an alarm. It would buzz/chirp for 10-15 seconds and then die. I mention it because it happened twice at approx 0200 in the morning.

There is no tea/coffee facilities in the room like advertised. On request I was given a kettle & 2 paper cups but that’s it. If you don’t provide it, don’t advertise it!
