The breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit and attentive staff making the coffee and refilling the various food. I would have liked to have yogurt and cereal options (oats, etc), but there was a VERY tasty tortilla every morning, so I was happy to have that Spanish option. The pool was wonderful, especially during the hot day it was an oasis!

just a very little thing... the shower head wouldn't stay up on the pole when the water was on... I forgot to mention this to the staff when we left, so I'm writing here, not as a critique, but so they know to fix the washer (or whatever part) to ensure that it could stay on the pole.

The room was large, beautifully remodeled (in a historic building), quiet, and spotlessly clean. The staff (Lucía, Asunción, Virginia, and Javier) were extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade pastries and cakes, including an especially fabulous tarta de queso. We had dinner in the hotel one night, and Asunción's cuisine was wonderful. (Dinner is not available every night.)

We encountered two things that are often not so comfortable for Americans in Europe: Although the bed was large (a king) and the mattress was comfortable, the bed pillows were not great. The shower, although large and clean, did not have a door or partition that closed completely, making it hard to avoid getting water all over the bathroom.

Charming. Welcoming. Feels exclusive with just a few rooms. Tastefully, carefully designed. Wonderful staff. Brilliant location. Immaculate. Peaceful. Garden is a big plus. Nothing too much trouble. Fantastic value for money. No annoying disturbing music in the background so you get to hear the birds instead.

Maybe a little more savoury for breakfast. So many cakes and sweets!!

A beautiful little hotel in a lovely village surrounded by greenery and hills. Excellent room with comfy bed and quality linen. Tito on reception was welcoming and helpful. Good breakfast with a mix of savoury and sweet items.

Nothing really. It's always easy to pick on minor items but this was a great stay and we wouldn't hesitate to revisit.

The hotel is very well maintained and high standard of decoration. The location is very central. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was excellent. We had evening meal and breakfast. Both high quality and value for money. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Almonaster al Real.

Only the cleaner/maid there when we 'checked in'. Room was on first floor when I had indicated my wife has limited mobility. They appear to have two ground floor rooms. Next to church - bells chime to 12.

Perfect: room, bed, personal, and breakfast. We were traveling with our baby, which is always stressful because you don't know in advance if the place is going to be comfortable and suitable for him. The personal was extremely nice and helpful with us, providing us with a crib and a baby bath without even asking, also with a high chair in the common area. The room was pretty spacious and the bed really really comfortable. The breakfast is insanely good. The hotel is located in the center of Almonaster.

The breakfast was excellent. The pool was a refreshing change from the heat of the day. Our accommodation was perfect and the location stunning. Loved to see the storks atop the church.

The property was perfect but trying to find facilities in the area was a challenge until after 9 pm in the evening and the morning.

This was hands down the best hotel we stayed this year, the room was spacious, you had everything you need and the bed is huge. Everyone from the staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good with lots of homemade sweets. Could not ask for more. Thank you!
