An amazing historical building, very sensitively converted into an excellent hotel. Very easy to access by car, with covered on-site parking. Ideal for visiting castle and town on foot. Excellent and very comfortable accommodation. Lots of interesting spaces for guests to relax, including a cosy library, spacious reception and bar, lovely courtyard with mature trees and a large swimming pool with plenty of chairs, shade and an outdoor bar. Lovely views from the pool terrace. The meals in the restaurant were excellent; you can also dine outside. Very helpful and friendly staff made this a most pleasant stay. We plan to return!

A beautiful old convent tastefully refurbished into a quality village centre hotel. The staff are all very friendly and can’t do enough to help. The rooms are large and well equipped and it even has a free mini bar. The grounds are well maintained with a good size pool and a large comfortable relaxing area. The restaurant food is excellent and very good value for what you get. I recommend the “Iberian Suprise” A shout out to front of house, Pablo who was polite, efficient and attentive at all times. The breakfast choice is vast and cooked options are available. Parking for motorcycles is easy, and secured within a garage. For motorcycles it is free! A highly recommended hotel for motorcyclists.
All good

The hotel is well situated in walking distance to the town centre. It has secure parking if needed. The rooms are spacious and very clean, nice range of products in the bathroom and fridge was stocked with complimentary orange juice and water .
Overall the staff were friendly however 2 or 3 had a very inattentive, couldn’t care less attitude. The bar opened at 4pm but wasn’t always staffed. The swimming pool was dirty , the kids pool filthy.

The location was perfect …just what we love, a small village with shops and restaurants nearby. We were able to go for walks to the castle and of course, we were able to go to Seville from our location. The convent was a lovely hotel..I wish the weather was warmer because the pool and grounds looked so inviting! Our room was spacious, clean and listening to the birds and nature in the early morning with the courtyard there was lovely. We took advantage of their fitness center every morning which was easily accessed all day and fairly well equipped. It was nice to have the restaurant on site..a lovely area with lots of windows overlooking the pool. The wait staff in evenings were very kind, and accommodating! Breakfasts were good, a nice selection to choose from, and amazing freshly squeezed orange juice that was delicious!
We felt like the hotel staff on arrival could have been a touch more friendly, and we would have liked a better explanation of how to use the parking garage. Were there assigned spaces? Where exactly was the elevator? To get to our rooms, do we cut through the bar area? “ Just a bit more friendly exchanges would have been helpful.

We found any staff we came across very helpful (I forget the lady’s name on Reception). We have no quibbles about the food either for breakfast or in the restaurant. We saw very few people staying here on our one night. The room was comfortable with a good shower. Toiletries were good quality. The room we had was to the rear and overlooked the pool area and the hills beyond. The bed was comfortable and large. Everything was very clean. No complaints.
I would note that this hotel is high up in the town so any visits require a little stamina and of course the Castle is even higher up (do very early).

Hotel Convento is a converted convent and an extensive properly on the edge of Aracena. It maintains some of the historic features but the bedrooms themselves are nicely furnished with modern facilities and very comfortable. The spa is fairly modest - a small rectangular pool with jets, a sauna and massage room. There is a large outdoor swimming pool which would be great in warmer months. There is a large enclosed car park and it's not that far to walk into town. The staff are really friendly and most speak good English. The wifi was fast and reliable.
It's difficult to find fault but I would say the restaurant could be furnished more imaginatively. It's a large soulless modern room with no distinguishing features so when I had dinner there, although the service was good and the food is fine (with an extensive menu), I felt as if I was eating in a student refectory. Can't the room be made more welcoming and friendly? The hotel staff were adamant I had to pre-book going to the spa; they emailed me beforehand and reminded me on arrival. I don't understand the pressure as the hotel was almost empty!

We have stayed there on numerous occasions but the twin room we were offered was very "tight". We could have complained but honestly we were too tired, sucked it up and stayed with it.
As before, we have stayed at the Convento previously but never in August. The pool was incredibly cold, we asked to use the spa as the tiny pool was heated but now with a charge ?

Well presented rooms, each with their own unique characteristics. The bathroom was really nice as was the large bed and comfortable mattress. The reception staff (Elena) were so helpful and courteous ,as were the Restaurant staff. The breakfast and dinner are a must for anyone thinking of staying at this wonderful hotel. Parking facilities are great, especially for motorcyclists, as there is a large secure garage situated within the hotel perimeter walls.
Can’t think of anything from my short stay.

Fantastic hotel, it's a reformed monastery which is really cool and adds to the charm of the place. It's squeaky clean and has an amazing terrace with a big pool to enjoy with the church view. Staff were fantastic and the rooms were beyond amazing
The male receptionist was not really helpful at all when we called with doubts about parking and it turns out it was easily explainable since his colleague clarified all our doubts in a matter of seconds upon check in

A wonderful, characterful hotel a stones throw from the caves at Aracena. Excellent parking, with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on and so quiet. The hotel is so tastefully rebuild and decorated. Staff were lovely. Outstanding breakfast.
We both had one of the traditional meat dishes in the restaurant, it would have been lovely just to have had a few greens to go with the meat and almost crisp like potatoes. However this was offset by one of the best "House" Ribeira del Duero wines we have tasted.
