A beautiful hotel perfectly situated in the heart of the old town and close to the cathedral. Friendly helpful staff; very comfortable rooms; nice pool in the central courtyard; and excellent restaurant (see separate review for Acebuche restaurante). One word of warning. The parking is conveniently located behind and under the hotel; but there are only eight or nine places and they are not all easily accessible. So it might be worth calling the hotel reception in advance to be sure you can get in. Very happy to highly recommend the hotel. Very very good value: 250 euro for a suite for 2 nights including breakfast (early July).

One small gripe is that there are only 8 sun beds around the swimming pool and people are hovering like vultures to grab one when free. I’m sure the management doesn’t want to spoil the aesthetically attractive courtyard by having too many sun beds, but they could manage a few more!

We liked everything about this hotel. We stay here every year en route from north to south Spain and we love it. There is parking below the hotel and the staff are really helpful getting in to the parking area - you do need to book. The rooms are lovely, the atmosphere of the hotel is great and we love the pool in the summer . This year we ate outside by the pool - the food was wonderful - you do need to book for that too. This trip we went with my son, his wife, their two-year-old and a baby - they had the suite and it was perfect for them. We love Baeza and this hotel makes our stay perfect - it’s perfectly located for visiting the historic centre.

There’s nothing that we don’t like - that’s why we keep going back! 😄😄

Beautiful property right in the old town, immaculate in every respect . Great pool and lovely bar / cafe . Large room , big bathroom , good shower . Very quick walk into village centre . Bar man / waiter in Hotel Bar Pacos was a really nice helpful guy .

Arrived for check in just after 3 , no parking spaces available . Had to leave car short walk away which wasn’t ideal as we had a full car on a tour of Spain . Ideally should be able to book a space ? Reception staff didnt explain that evening dining for the main restaurant would be by the pool . We would have booked that had we known .

It's not the easiest place to get to by car but parking was fairly close and free. First view of the interior is impressive for there is a large central patio with a decent-sized pool. The rooms were stylish, well-furnished and with good bathrooms and the staff efficient. The hotel houses a high-class restaurant but also provides substantial tapas and light meals by the pool. Breakfast is served in a large inside room and contained all that one might want. Central Baeza is less than a ten minute walk away whilst the "puerta de la luna" entrance to the cathedral (giving its name to the hotel) is about 50 yds distant. Also very good value for money so no reason for not recommending warmly.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the old city with incredible history and views all around. The room was a suite which was superb. The bar is fantastic and serves excellent food at lunch time. The evening dining experience was amazing a really high standard meal with an excellent wine selection. Pool was great, staff were fantastic and despite it being well of the normal tourist trail, the reception staff spoke really good English, unlike my Spanish. The local restaurants were also of a very high standard

Cannot fault it

Great staff, very clean, lovely pool terrace and not ‘stuffy’. Baeza itself is fascinating. We wished we had more time to explore. We had only booked it as a stopover.

It was hard to park near, and my husband is 76, with back and hip problems, so it was challenging to get cases there. But we managed and this isn’t a big complaint. There is nothing they could do about that. It’s more an observation.

Everything to be honest . A fantastic establishment in a wonderful town and location . Everything about this superb hotel went above and beyond what one might expect . Staff, standard of room , ambience , cleanliness, breakfast was amazing ,Pacos bar also superb with a high standard of very tasty food . To top it all the price was very fair . Let’s just say we will certainly be returning …….a very big thanks to all at the hotel .

We loved it all . No negatives .

Superb location and premises. Friendly and extremely helpful staff and absolutely charming vibe.

The car park was tricky to navigate, but it’s totally understandable due to the historical nature of the premises, and I was warned in advance.

Perfect location in the historic centre and beautiful property with large rooms and bathrooms. Receptionist very helpful and secured additional night.

The WiFi was out the entire stay and nobody seemed very bothered…like it is a regular issue. Given the quality of the restaurant meals, the breakfast lacked diversity, especially fruits, cereals and yoghurts…no nuts, seeds, dried fruits, only apples and pears
