Stunning top floor apartment with two equally good en-suite bedrooms and a rooftop terrace to die for. Perfect for sundowner drinks and morning coffee. It was refreshing that there was a reception desk manned for most of the day, and the lady who checked us in was truly lovely, smiley and welcoming. We booked this apartment for three of us and the cost compared very well with the two double rooms we might have booked somewhere else, but we got much more space. Great location just off Plaza San Antonio, and very quiet. Whole-heartedly recommend!

This is a suggestion, not a complaint! It would be useful to have a light on the landing when getting back at night so you can see the keypad for the door code!

absolutely lovely building. We stayed in the penthouse with its own sun-drenched terrace. Whole apartment beautifully furnished with en-suite bathrooms, comfortable seating, multi-channel TV and plenty of seats and loungers on the terrace. Situated on Calle Ancha the palacio is within easy walk of the old town attractions such as the botanic gardens, museum, fish market and Caleta beach, so is in a brilliant location. Could easily spend the r= whole time on the terrace, just lazing in the sun.

For anyone lik e me, who likes to shop in the fish market and cook at home some evenings, the lack of serving dishes could be frustrating. We never sussed out how to use the microwave/conventional oven but that hardly mattered as there were no roasting dishes supplied anyway. But apart from that little niggle, we were impressed with the room service, the coffee pods supplied to go with the coffee machine, and the maid service with fresh towels and bed linen every few days. No hesitation in recommending five stars

The suite was amazing, clean, well decorated and comfy beds. It was also extremely quiet, clean white towels, wonderful toiletries, and a combination washer and dryer. We stayed in the Penthouse that has the largest terrace, and we made use of it. The reception was fantastic, allowing us to drop off our luggage early and they even brought our belongings up to the room and we were able to check in 1 hour early. This place made us feel relaxed, welcomed and made us feel sad that we were leaving Cadiz.

I would add a few blankets and paper towels. If one person enjoys a cooler room, and you don’t that extra blanket would be great. Other than that this place has everything you need.

We were thrilled with this apartment during our tour of southern Spain. The building itself has a charming ambience, a cooling fountain welcoming you in the inner atrium as you enter from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. We were met and assisted during our stay by a friendly and informative reception team. Their dinner recommendation was spot on. The apartment itself outdid our expectations - it was a very spacious suite of rooms which would also be suitable for a longer stay. Modern design with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom and very clean. Although we faced inwards the upper level meant the apartment was lovely and light. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to other travellers.

Minor issue - The dryer (washer dryer) did not work at all to dry clothes - a common issue with combo machines. We found a laundrette 1 min away.

Location was perfect on a pedestrian street. Very quiet at night. The room was perfect and the staff very helpful. Arriving early they were happy to store our luggage. The staff organised our early taxi for departure and the taxi driver came to the apartment building to meet us, very handy. We sat in bed most mornings watching the swifts fly past our window - perfect !

The water tap in the shower has wrong indicators for cold and hot, causing us some problems on the first morning but the staff were very happy to help.

Beautiful building in the very centre of Cadiz. Plenty of hustle and bustle outside but the apartment was very quiet. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for 4 adults. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are staying more than 2 days it is a good idea to buy the sightseeing bus tour as this is a good introduction to Cadiz and the basic ticket also includes entry to the Cathedral and Tower at no extra cost. You can also purchase the Catamaran ride as part of this ticket (if you fancy a boat trip around the Bay). We only found this out after paying for everything seperately!! D'oh!

Only quibble was that there was no outside space to sit in. Our apartment only faced inwards towards the internal courtyard, so no direct sunlight which was a real shame. It looked like the Hotel was originally linked to the bar/restaurant next door with patio doors but these are now closed (and the restaurant had odd opening times). This meant there was no natural/accessible communal space for guests to use.

The question, "How easy was it to collect the key upon arrival" is a good question. This property asked and asked me (by email) "When will you arrive?" Sometimes it is hard to say an exact time when travelling by car and not acquainted with the roads. When our route was blocked/shut down by the police, we found out why we were asked about our arrival time over several conversations. A beautiful local parade (3 Kings) was shutting down our streets. A direct warning to us would have been helpful INSTEAD of repeated, open questions about arrival time. This cultural difference in addressing a conflict was frustrating to us, and we wished for direct sentences about the road issue to warn us, i.e., not appropriately handled. It did not take away from the lovely location.

Lovely, historic and full of character location. We lost 3 hours of fun there due to a local parade for Epiphany, but it did not make us dislike the hotel. It was an error in judgement not to directly tell us, we feel.

Wonderful apartment, clean, comfortable well appointed, and a gorgeous building in a great position. Our one room apartment was spacious, and we loved the balcony facing the street. Windows double glazed, so little noise inside our apartment. Loved having a washing machine, after 3 weeks in Morocco! Would definitely return.

The electronic keypads instead of keys/door cards were annoying. Very sensitive to touch and we regularly had issues! The young woman on reception could have been a little more welcoming and helpful … but maybe she was having a bad few days while we were there?!

Everything was amazing. The hotel is a converted “casa palacio” that was built in the 1860’s for a noblewoman and was remodeled 7 years ago. It is charming, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The location is unbeatable - on a pedestrianized street and walkable to everything. Highly recommend.

I didn’t love the keypad entry, which locks you out for 5 min after 2 missed tries (we got locked out at 11:30 PM midnight and had to wait). But this is a minor detail. The place is excellent.

I wish I could remember the receptionists name as she was particularly welcoming and helpful on our arrival. The location is fantastic and although very central it was a nice quiet haven to return to at the end of a busy day. The building is very clean throughout and well maintained.

The sofa in the apartment was uncomfortable to sit on and the towels could do with updating - a quick fix.
