Property is very clean and rooms get cleaned every morning, with change of towels. Cleaning lady is friendly and accepts special requests (for example to leave A/C on etc). Visually it’s also very nice with decorations. The shower is huge and has a handle to hold on to. Air conditioning works great and there is no extra price for it. Nice balcony with enough room. Breakfast was great, more options than usual hotels of this type (eggs, bacon, tomato, cucumber, many types of cheese and bread, many types of sweet pastries, and even watermelon and pineapple I believe). Complementary orange juice always, the owner personally comes to offer coffee and tea etc. Lobby is spatious and has a bar (we didn’t try but it seemed nice), has a space to put your luggage. The owners are amazing and friendly, always want to help and even offer free sun umbrellas for the beach. At all hours there is a worker able to help you. Owner helped us with airport shuttle service, the ride was perfect both ways at the agreed price. Driver even waited for us for an hour at the airport and kept in contact over WhatsApp during the wait. Location is great, not a very loud street but near a main street with many restaurants and bars, and only 5min away from the beach. Also 2 big supermarkets nearby.

Only thing was the thin walls, we could hear neighbours a bit too much, but all in all it was a tiny thing that didn’t bother us too much.

If you are looking for a brilliant, clean and modern hotel with a very good location to discover Costa Brava or enjoy a beach program, I highly recommend Hotel B&B El Pekinaire I stayed there for two weeks in July 2024 and I had a wonderful experience. Here are some of the reasons why I loved this hotel. Location Hotel Costa Brava is located in a quiet and charming street, just a few minutes walk from the beach and the town center. You can easily access the public transport, shops, restaurants, and bars. The hotel is also a great base to explore the beautiful Costa Brava region, with its stunning coastline, medieval villages, and natural parks. Rooms The hotel’s rooms are all spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated. The rooms have comfortable beds, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. My room had a spacious balcony. The rooms are cleaned daily and the towels and sheets are changed regularly. Breakfast The breakfast was served in a cozy dining room. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh bread, croissants, pastries, cheese, ham, eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereals, juice, coffee, and tea. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and to chat with the other guests and the hosts. Hosts The hosts, Ester and Andres, were kind and friendly, and they made me feel at home. They were always available to help me with anything I needed. They were very knowledgeable about the area and they gave me some useful information. They spoke fluent English, Spanish, Catalan, German and they were very respectful and polite. In conclusion, I had a fantastic stay at Hotel B&B El Pekinaire. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Costa Brava.

Great place to stay in Calella! Many thanks to the hosts, Andres and Ester, who were incredibly helpful and hospitable. The location is fantastic, with shops, cafes, the city center, and the beach all within easy reach. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels provided every day. The breakfast was good, and the coffee was very tasty. The price-quality ratio is excellent. I was genuinely surprised that this hotel has only two stars; I’ve stayed in many three-star hotels that were incomparably worse. Highly recommend!

One area for improvement would be the breakfast menu. If you stay for a long time, you might get tired of the monotonous hot dishes. Adding some variety would make it even better.

Cleanliness, everywhere on top level, very friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable bed, good breakfast. Perfect location in the centre but very quiet inside room.

You change all towels daily, even those which are unused. Maybe is worth to change this practise but apart that - great service during whole holiday.

A wonderful place! We stayed for a few days and had an amazing experience. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and the hosts were fantastic—they truly give this place its unique charm. The room was spacious and very clean. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the sea. Sending our warmest regards to the hosts—we still have such nice memories of our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great—not a huge selection, but everything you need. I especially enjoyed the cheeses, and my husband loved the cold cuts. The rooms are cozy, and they changed the towels daily, which we really appreciated. The location is perfect: close to the city center and the train station, yet very quiet.

Breakfast was really good - wide range of meals, including fresh watermelons :). Staff replaced towels and cleaned room everyday. Comfortable bed and clean environment across whole facility.

Exceptional place to stay ,an absolute gem of a hotel. Andrea’s and his wife are the most lovely hosts , nothing is too much trouble Breakfast was great every morning , lots of coffee and juice , plenty of choice for everyone Everywhere is spotlessly clean , most comfy beds and warm rooms as we stayed in November Will definitely be back , highly recommended

It´s not my first time staying in this place, and it´s really great - a very good location, extremelly clean facilities, nice breakfast and super friendly hosts and staff. We are definitelly going to choose El Pekinaire again when we visit Calella in the future.

Awesome b and b .First-class in every way with an attention to detail that matches the best of 5 star hotels .Anyone about to start ( or improve an existing one )a b and b business should spend 2 days here ,observe and learn how to achieve so much and yet only charge such economical rates .Friendly welcome( knowledgeable and hard-working owners - not minimum wage slaves )- they greeted me at 4 pm.,served drinks and chatted at 10 pm, and served breakfast at 8 am ,spotlessly clean ,comfy bed ,hot and powerful walk-in shower and a great breakfast with choice of cereals ,cooked meat ,cheeses and hot food too .Its no surprise that it has such a high rating score and fully-deserved wonderful.reviews .
