We were very grateful to have found this hotel as without its low prices we would have not been able to afford to go away. The hotel provided a clean basic room with very comfortable beds, the bathroom had a good shower and a bath tub. Which exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic with the beach and a row of shops on the doorstep. We travelled in April so not all the bars and restaurants were open and I suppose in the summer if there were noisy guests the walls could be a bit thin, but we slept soundly with no disturbances.

The view out the window was a brick wall! But we didn’t pay for a room with a view… we paid for a room with a bed and thats what we got!

We stayed with a family of 3 people, 2 adults, one child. We didn't know what to expect reading the reviews but we had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect, close to the sea and in the center of the town. The personnel was very friendly, we received towels upon request. We chose the smaller room and it was big enough for the 3 of us.

The bathrooms are out dated but clean. Due to the location in the center of the town, you can be bothered by people partying in the middle of the night. The thing we were missing was a small refrigerator.

We vacationed in mid-September, and our experience was excellent. The hotel was not crowded, nor was there excessive noise that some previous guests had complained about. There was always hot water, and there was always a staff member present at the reception. As stated, the rooms are cleaned daily, and towels are changed every other day. We especially liked that we could use the hotel’s umbrellas for free and that the hotel is very close to the beach.

The furniture in the room is old and worn out, but considering the value for money, everything was okay.

A several-floors hotel right next to the main shopping street of the town, but the entrance to the building is only from the back of the building. When we arrived, the hotel was closed, that was about 10 pm but it was phone number provided, and after short call someone turned up in a few minutes. We had two rooms next to each other, the rooms met our expectations, simple, but had everything we needed. Our balconies faced the city, but it was quiet. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there are cafes nearby. The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the beach. The hotel had inflatable mattresses, mini surfing boards, etc., you could take them to the beach.

There is a big problem with finding a place to park your car.

1) location!!! 2 mins walk from the beach; plenty of shops and restaurants around; 2) staff- very quick, efficient, very helpful; my flight was late so the reception team provided me with an access code to enter the hotel without any problems; very informative! 3) balcony- big balcony (with two chairs and a table) and still plenty of space; 4) heating/air conditioning- I didn’t have any problems with the temperature in the room because of the air conditioning working perfectly; 5) cleaning- ladies were coming to change towels and take out rubbish every day and change bed sheets every other day; very quick, polite and efficient!!! 6) good value for money!!! We know what we are paying for and this is exactly what we get!!!

1) it’s not that I didn’t like it, it’s just it would be easier to have it-small, cheap electric kettle; coffee machines were out of service so we needed to go out to look for a cafe (keep in mind that we were visiting Mallorca not in season so it was very hard to find anything open) 2) same situation with hair dryer- not a problem but would be easier and more comfortable to have it;

Good sized room with comfortable beds and ensuite walkin shower, cleaners came everyday . Excellent location too. The beach is round the corner ,lots of shops . The reception guy was polite and friendly. Worth the money paid .

There is no restaurant in the hotel and no tea/coffee facilities either in the room or reception as the machine in reception was out of order . the lift is tiny.The wifi/ Internet is shocking so don't rely on it to be working. The air con in the room wasn't very good. The pictures are from when we were leaving so we had stripped the bedding to save cleaning staff time .

We have been here often (spring, autum and winter) and are always very happy: the hotel, the room, the location and especially the friendly staff are highly appreciated by us. We can recommend Hotel Villa Barbara to anybody who only needs a price-worthy, clean and comfortable stay in the more quite north of Mallorca (Can Picafort is great as a "home-base" for exploring the beaches, the mountains and everything inbetween). If you need spa, pool, restaurant etc in your Hotel, then better search for something else (and pay twice the price). And maybe one thing to make this review complete: when temperature drops to 5° C at nights, then it's cold everywhere / in every "summer" hotel at the beaches, here too. But: you need warm clothes to dress anyways, so you will be fine in the room. And for the night you get an extra warm cover :-)

As mentioned we have been here 10+ times. Once we were not so happy arriving late (maybe 20:00) from an excursion and all warm water was used up (or did not make it to 3rd floor) already. so we had to skip the evening shower and wait till next morning.

The room was OK, everything was as expected based on photos. The hotel is really near the beach and shops/restaurants/bars which is really great! My phone was stolen in Can Picafort and staff was really helpful about that whole situation, they were really nice and I was very thankful to them. Also, the room was cleaned everyday.

Receptionist was not there all the time, so I had to wait sometime if I need something.

This is a beautiful and affordable stay only a couple of metres away from the beach and strip of restaurants/bars. We really enjoyed staying here and would have stayed longer. The room was well equipped with what we needed and the staff were lovely.

The shower head was positioned in a way that drenched the back wall of the bathroom and on to the floor. There was always a big puddle in the bathroom as a result.

The location was nice. I loved that it was so close to the beach and several restaurants. We loved every place we went to. Our room was nice and I loved that the three of us stayed in the same room.

The wifi only worked sometimes which kind of sucked. It took a while to figure out how to change the language on the tv to Spanish but we eventually figured it out. Overall it was a very nice hotel wand the staff was amazing.
