Proximity to the sea Fantastic history of the property and gorgeous common areas. The place could easily be a high end boutique hotel if someone could invest in an upgrade. Who doesn’t want to visit where Omar Sharif stayed and look at the location of the Lawrence of Arabia film. I hope the hotel preserves its wonderful artefacts and the old telephone room - old style glamour! Great comfortable beds, good quality sheets and towels - 5* quality

Very weak WiFi Shame the internal decoration, curtains etc not yet upgraded. But the size of the common areas and the views made it less noticeable.

The hotel retains a feeling of yesterday.....you can feel the history of the film stars who stayed here, and of course, there are pictures everywhere. The location is perfect, and we were treated to a free breakfast in the restaurant that overlooked the beach. There are plenty of places to relax and swim, if you felt like it...or wander along to many bars and restaurants a little along the promenade..which is flat. A great experience. The host is also very approachable and makes you feel extremely welcome. Parking on the street, but very safe area. Our dog was made very welcome too.

We booked a room with seaview which was large, clean, good bathroom and a fridge. Location is quiet and superclose to beach, plenty parking space and a large pool. In the old days film actors stayed there and it still has this atmosphere.

There was nothing we “did not like” but there is plenty of maintenance to do - plants were dying, pool furniture old, lighting that did not work, flags at entrance worn-out etc. lot’s of cats… It needs some care and attention.

The preserved 'Hollywood days' feel.. approx 4 major movies were shot here on the beach in front of the hotel...Lawrence of Arabia was the main one. Heaps of big time movie stars have stayed here in days gone by...you can feel the vibe straight up... The proximity to the beach The serenity.

The breakfast buffet doesn't open any more, but that was OK, as there were beachfront breakfast cafes just 5 mins down the road

The great welcome and assistance by Enrique. The view from our suite was magnificent and the Hollywood film memorabilia was very interesting.

The hotel is over 60 years old so is showing its age in some places but this actually seems to add to the authenticity of the hotel which was built by David Lean’s ( Lawrence of Arabia and Bridge on the River Kwai) ‘dedicated Maniac’ Eddie Fowlie.

The hotel is amazing! Beautiful and cosy. For 2 stars it has really big rooms, swimming pool where you can swim even in the night under the stars! It’s located right on a beach. You can also book massage- the person comes to your room professionally equipped! Very friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the cleaners were the same. The room was a good size and exceptional clean. When we opened our door the pool was just infront which was fantastic and the beach was just across from the patio area. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Unfortunately the restaurant was not open in the evening and the restaurants in that area were quite a walk for people our age.

Big rooms right on the beach. An hotel very different from any other with lots of connections and history with the movies and movie stars. The Management are wonderful. We will be going back for another stay soon.

WiFi could have been better.

It looked very tired on the outside but once you got inside it was beautiful. Like stepping back in time. Lovely memorabilia of actors who had stayed there and even things from sets. The view from our room was amazing. Just the beach and sea in front of us

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed the night we stayed so we were not able to enjoy the full experience. Outside is very tired. Needs a bit of TLC

The staff was very friendly and the locationnwas perfect. The hotel was also kept clean and the pool area was very comfortable and well taken care of.

Only problem for me was the window went out into the hallway instead of outdoors.
