I had a wonderful 7 night stay (extended from 5 nights). - I had a free upgrade for the duration, offered to me simply because a better room was available at check in - I felt completely safe there - all the staff are lovely and trustworthy, and there are a lot of female staff. - there is decent parking - it was always spotlessly clean - the pool and sun loungers were wonderful. Especially the padded bed-like loungers! I was so comfortable.

The only issue was the comfort of the mattress - it was very hard. But everything else outweighed this issue and I extended my stay.

It is the third time I am a guest of this hotel. It is located in the centre of the island in a very nice village (Es Mercadal) which has many places to eat and drink in the evening as well as events like live music, market and fiestas. From there you are very well positioned to reach by car any beaches and villages in the island. The rooms have been recently renovated and they are comfortable. There is also a small swimming pool with a nice recently renovated sun bed area. Breakfast is abundant and very good. The staff is very friendly and nice. Thanks a lot to Anabel and her colleagues for having made my stay pleasant and fun!

Our second stay at the lovely Hotel Jeni. It's in a perfect location around the corner from the bus stop, with buses connecting with Mao, Cuitadella, Alaior, Es Mercadal etc, with connections to beaches and other towns. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was actually a suite, with a separate seating area. Large bathroom with lots of towels; fridge in room, huge double bed. Our room overlooked the swimming pool and gardens. A tip: - the balconies at Hotel Jeni are not for sitting on, they're more the Juliet sort, so don't expect a table and chairs. Sit in the sun in the garden by the pool! Breakfast is a la carte or buffet; for £11.00 the excellent buffet is very good value, and they'll cook your eggs and bacon to order if you wish. We ate in the restaurant once in our three-night stay and the food is excellent - the roast lamb was just wonderful. You can enjoy a drink in the street outside, or in the gardens around the pool. A suggestion - walk up to Monte Toro for 360 degree views around the island. It takes about an hour to walk (there's no footpath, but you can drive). There's a bar-restaurant up there for your well-earned beer and a cracking sandwich. The other restaurant we recommend is Bistro 32, just down the road over the bridge - wonderful food in an old house. Our stay was just perfect; even the Es Mercadal bus stop resident cat was pleased to see us.

Very clean and tidy. Great pressure in the shower which I personally loved. A fridge was a great advantage. To make it excellent I would add a kettle. The hotel is located in the middle of the island which makes it convenient to reach different parts of Menorca and there are buses to most popular destinations

Super nice staff, very helpful. I even got upgraded without me even asking for it. Very clean and with good equipment in the room, comfy bed. Very central in the village, many parking options around the hotel. Pool is nice but the terrasse at the very back deserves more credit: cosy and very pretty!

Bathroom a bit old eg closing doors to the bathtub but nothing dramatic and super clean so all good!

The town is small but central to the island and was a good base from which to explore in the car. Parking around the hotel free on the street. The room was a good size and kept very clean. The staff were always very happy and helpful. We never used the restaurant so unable to comment.

The bed was a little bit hard for our liking but otherwise no other issues.

The breakfast was a good variety of food buffet style with the option of a cooked breakfast if required. The location was good and a view of the pool.

Would like the option of a kettle in the room to make a hot drink on wakening.

My room was spacious, clean and modern with everything I needed. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of choice. All hotel areas were clean and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely be staying again, and wholeheartedly recommend it.

The room was super stylish and very clean and comfortable. I’d like to stay again in warmer weather to enjoy the pool! Breakfast very good, lots of healthy stuff like fresh fruits, nuts, yoghurt etc great choice of delicious breads and pastries.

Super cute place in a lovely little town. The staff was great and the room was all I needed for a night. There are some great restaurants in the area too!
