Breakfast was superb, and comprised an extensive buffet. Breakfast staff always arranged tables so that our party of seven could sit together. The breakfast room was spacious and airy. Bedrooms were very clean and comfortable with large beds, air conditioning but also windows that open. The hotel was very conveniently situated by a park, which was great for our grandson. Playa de Lorenzo is a short walk through the park or by the streets and a convenient bus service can take you to other parts of Gijon. There is a cafe bar on the ground floor where you can buy drinks and snacks. There are many cafes and bars in the surrounding areas.

There is parking at the hotel but we could not park our minibus there, though we could drop off luggage directly outside in reserved drop-off places. We found space by the football stadium close by, where campervans can park for free. It was close by but obviously very full and sometimes we had to wait for a space.

Very good old school hotel, with a good "in your own living room" feel. Very quiet at night and extremely clean. Very kind cleaning lady in an emergency! I would go back if ever in Gijon. Don't miss the lovely sea walk going to the RIGHT as you look at the sea. On the improvements side, I'd just say that reception staff need to be a bit more proactive in a crisis (though very nice when pushed)- and a couple of minor faults in the bathroom. Perhaps a tiny bit on the pricey side for mid January (72euros) for one person.

Excellent value for money. First class city hotel. The hotel's cafe serves delicious food.

Location was great, opposite a lovely park, a joy to walk through on the way for a stroll along the beach or the lengthy promenade. The staff in the cafe/restaurant were most welcoming, a good selection of food available, evening football matches showing there brought a fair few locals in too, which gave a nice feel. Varied and plentiful breakfasts, as good as we’ve had anywhere.

Perfect location across from the park and a short walk to San Lorenzo Beach. Our room was on the corner at the front of the building with a great view, the king size bed was super comfortable and the room had everything we needed!

The aircon wasn't working and the room was hot like a greenhouse! We were told they had it set on heating so it wouldn't cool until the weather was better so they could switch over to cooling mode. We opened the windows and that did cool it down. Its also all a bit dated - ready for a refurb.

Close to a beautiful park. Good sized room. Walking distance to the city centre and Casco Viejo. Lots of great restaurants nearby.

Shower in bath. No shower cap and no body cream. I expected that from a 4 star hotel.

For the event we were attending the hotel was in a perfect location, it was a bit of a walk to the old town but manageable and actually rather nice along the prom.

Parking bit pricey, but then I begrudge paying to park my Vespa anywhere as its so small.

Excellent location, very well priced . Family room was very spacious for two adults and two children and very comfortable. I paid €15 for the breakfast in the morning, which which was very good
