I booked Villa Nestor for one night only for it's location close to the medieval town of Aguimes and also because I liked the look of the tiles in the available room. Oh, but it exceeded my expectations! In real life, Villa Nestor is a calm and relaxing haven in a rather idyllic sleepy village, and I could have happily spent days there if it was not fully booked and I had other things planned! My room was meticulously clean with very comfortable bed and two large, airy windows, one of which opened onto a beautiful, tall fig tree. The tiles in the bedroom and the bathroom did not disappoint - and made the suite very charming in my opinion. A lovely breakfast was served on a gloriously elevated terrace, with stunning views out over the east of the island on to blue sea beyond! I spent an hour or more relaxing on the terrace just reading and enjoying the sunshine. The owners were there and happy to share some of their enthusiasm for Gran Canaria and its spectacular beaches. It was the best start to my two week trip to Gran Canaria I could have hoped for! I can easily imagine returning, and using Villa Nestor as a base for hikes or cycles and also exploring arts and crafts of the area - there are public buses and taxi services available if, like me, driving while on holiday does not appeal!

Arrival time when we needed it, very warm welcome, Arhold and Arineta made us feel at home. The B&B is in a central location in the old town , beautifully renovated and presented 5 guest room house. Our room was spacious, bright and nicely presented, nothing has been missed to make sure that you stay is memorable. Kettle, safe, coffee machine, ensuite shower room, fridge with soft drinks etc Lovely rooftop terrace which is spacious, plenty of seating with views of the town and sea, breakfast is served here. Breakfast is included, freshly prepared fruits, teas, coffee,hot breakfast tortilla with ham and cheese, yogurt and fresh orange juice. Perfect!

We like to stay in small historic towns with traditional guest houses and Villa Nestor is an excellent example of our preferred accommodation. The historic centre of Ingenio is attractive and has some good local restaurants. Our spotless room was large and comfortable with all the usual facilities. The freshly cooked breakfast was taken on the roof terrace overlooking the town and the ocean. Our hosts Arold and Alienka are lovely and welcoming. We couldn’t have wished for anything better.

Beautiful place to stay! Have already recommended it to others. Loved the bed, was happy to find duvets. :) Ingenio was a very nice town, which has several small, green parks with playgrounds. This was excellent when travelling with a kid.

Only stayed one night, which was windy, and some loose item was banging on the wall or roof most of the night (whenever the wind was blowing). So even though the bed was top notch, our sleep was lousy.

Perfect experience for those, who have been to Gran Canaria before and want to experience more than just a beach and resort. Villa Nestor offers a perfect combination of personal touch and professional boutique hotel. Although it is not located in a tourist area, it's very close to the airport and motorway, therefore it is a perfect base to explore the island. We loved the high ceiling rooms, spacious and interesting interiors, and the sounds of nature waking us up every morning. The owners are very friendly and professional, chatty but not intrusive. They offer tasty breakfast on the roof terrace and it's a perfect beginning of the new day. We will definitely be back 😁

We would ideally have a king size bed instead of two single beds, but we totally understand that this setup may work better for the business.

This is a beautiful old building with all modern facilities cleverly blended together. There are a small number of rooms so all customer service is delivered by the owners, the very lovely Arold and Alienka! Wow! That's great. It is very personal and warm and friendly and we loved it. Arold and Alienka are Dutch and probably fluent in all European languages. Beds are great! Slept well. Arold will even cook a dutch breakfast for you if you mention you like uitsmijter!! Very close to the airport and a great place to start your break or end your break near the airport, or as your base for your entire holiday. Even a kettle in the room. Great as we are Brits! Good Wifi.

Had a little trouble finding it the first time in the dark

We came the second time (first time was the last year) to V. Nestor. And no doubt coming back once again, no doubt 😀 The host are extremely friendly people. Absolutely recommend ❤️

In apartment we had a great view through the window, comfort beds and gorgeous breakfast. The host made in three days three different type of warm food. Top service ❤️

Very warm-welcoming hosts Alienka and Arold, amazing double-room (next time we are looking forward to try the suite with Jacuzzi), very good recommendations for food and sightseeing, stunning and amazing surprise-breakfast every morning at the roof-top with freshly-made orange juice or mango (from their own garden) juice, delicious coconut-pancakes the one morning, the other morning an extraordinary delicious Sandwich ("Vietnam-Twist")

Good location, especially for hiking through the beautiful local mountains and ravines. Regular local buses for exploring the rest of the island and Las Palmas. Excellent rooftop breakfasts provided by chef Arald. Netflix provided when a relaxing evening was needed

There was nothing we didn't like.

This is a gem in the historic centre of a Canarian hill top town, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach resorts. Arold and Alienka were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We loved everything and would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the Casita which is a little house in the garden with a separate entrance from the main building. It was very private and we made use of the hot tub on the patio. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the breakfasts...wow! We had a delicious breakfast tortilla on the first morning and pancakes on the second morning. They very kindly provided us with an early breakfast as we had to get to the airport by 8am. As we were staying over the Easter weekend, Arold gave us some restaurant suggestions to pre-book and these were also fantastic (La Jicara Tasca and La Vicaria). All in all, highly recommended so do not hesitate to book here. It is probably easier to get here by car but we used buses and a taxi to the airport (approx 15 euros).
