The staff were super helpful and so friendly - just a small number of staff running this small hotel. Air con good. Great personal treatment. Lovely staff recommendations of what to do in the area. Rooms in good condition. Not far to go to get onto Santander ferry after,

Wifi was a bit intermittent. Would have been lovely to have some hot food at breakfast too. Location is pretty good if you have a car to get places, Locally in walking range the offer is not the best, and driving in Laredo is very busy indeed! Would have been good to have multiple room cards, rather than just 1 per room. Small 2 person room had a very tiny bathroom.

The hotel is an authentic building. The room was spacious and comfortable. I was at the front facing the road but it was still quiet and I had an excellent nights sleep. The bathroom was fine and some nice little extra touches. The restaurant next door is worth a visit. Friendly reception and atmosphere.

I was very disappointed with breakfast. The coffee was stone cold. The selection was in truth basic and the quality just wasn’t there. They have pared everything down and it seemed to me to be totally neglected.

Fruit and yogurt.

Unfortunately we arrived for breakfast behind a group of four “hungry” men who proceeded to eat all of the ham and cheese on the buffet. When we requested replenishment we were informed that there was no more. As they also succeeded in breaking the coffee machine we were reduced to fruit, yogurt and fruit juice so a little disappointing. Otherwise- as usual, a great stay.

Lots of onsite parking at the hotel. We ate in the bar/restaurant in the evening where we had amazing food and great hospitality. We had a suite which was far more comfortable that we had expected. The shower was good. The breakfast is something else. Lots to choose from, you won't leave on an empty stomach in the morning.

The hotel has limited working hours for the staff. We arrived and got our key and showed the room no problem. In the morning for breakfast was a little different as no staff, you use your room key to access the hotel, then another door to get into the room where breakfast is served. You then have to open another door which does not say "breakfast room" or anything and just keep the faith that behind that door is a beautiful selection of breakfast goodies!

Stayed for one night before catching the ferry from Santander and chose it due to it’s location. We had two rooms which were very clean. It was really good value and included a great breakfast. Friendly and helpful lady on reception and we conversed via Google translate!

It is located on a roundabout so there is traffic noise.

They kindly picked me up after walking 52km that day ( on the Camino) and no energy to walk the last 5km. I loved their in room bath and the breakfast was superb. I had a great nights sleeps . I feel they went the extra mile to help when i was broken . … thank you 👍

It’s a bit far from Laredo and buses are not frequent… if that’s your goal. It’s on the Camino via Treto. It worked for us and is a great place to stay if the location works.

We really like everything about Las Ruedas. The location is great, parking is easy and secure, the hotel is very well cared for and the staff (housekeeping and catering) are very friendly, professional and approachable.

There isn’t anything to dislike about Las Ruedas. We’ve stayed there on many occasions and enjoy coming back.

Good location for travelling onwards, Bilbao 1 hour away, easy access. Parking at Metro easy and cheap. Good parking at the hotel. Friendly staff, neat and tidy hotel.

Not a lot around, you need a car. 3 bars, not always open.

Great selection for the continental breakfast. The hotel restaurant and bar at the side offered good food. It had an interesting selection of local dishes and more traditional for a hotel. Very good value for money.

Nothing. It was a very good local hotel on the main road route north from Santander.
