The hotel is very well situated near Plaza Espagna on one side and Royal Palace on the other, but it is a relatively quiet street. The staff at the reception is kind and informative. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is served in a nice setting with excellent food choices, lots of fresh fruit as well.

The street was quiet in terms of the general public, and it also felt very safe. Rubbish bins were emptied around midnight, which is understandable considering the restaurants are open until late, but then even afterwards, there was noise made by delivery vans every night during our stay.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, in a fantastic location right in the center of Madrid — just a short walk from Plaza de España, the Sabatini Gardens, and Gran Via. The staff were very polite and helpful, always willing to assist. The breakfast had a wide variety of options and was served in a beautifully designed space. A lovely touch was the complimentary water dispenser and coffee machine available throughout the day — a much-appreciated gesture. The hotel lounge was also tastefully decorated and very cozy, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. Highly recommended!

I loved this hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Awesome beds. I liked the breakfast at the hotel; good variety and quality. The location was VERY good at the city center, yet the room was very quiet. A plus for me was the work desks and the couches at the lobby. It was very nice. The free coffee and water fountain at the lobby were also very nice and thoughtful.

The bathroom in the room was a tiny bit too small and didn't have many places to hang the clothes or towels.

Staff was very kind, helpful and flexible. Room was neat, comfortable. It is located near Gran Via, so it is a good hotel for going out for a walk in the centre of the city and visiting touristic/famous places like Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, etc. It also has the train station near the hotel (4 minutes), thus you only have to walk a bit to get/come from the airport. The lobby has free coffee and air conditioner works perfectly in the summer by the way :).

The concierge at Cason del Tormes isvery friendly and helpful. We would often asked him for suggestions and he was always ready to help! The location is perfect, very close to most tourist attractions and near a metro station. The breakfast was good with a fair number of options. There is a coffee machine at the lobby that always comes in handy when you're carving some caffeine. Most days in the afternoon there are pastries up for grabs next to the machine! The lobby is pretty with different seating options. Also, since we went in November and it was quite chilly, the hotel and the room were always perfectly heated - not too hot nor too cold. The bathroom is very practical and it was nice to find that there was always hot water (no glitches) whenever we wanted to shower.

The one thing I didn't enjoy about the hotel is that the rooms aren't sound proof. I could easily hear the noise next door or in the hallway. I understand that rooms may not be 100% sound proof at most hotels, but the walls are pretty thin here. It could be because the building is a little old, but otherwise the room itself was pretty good!

Very good, central location near the opera house, and I had quiet nights sleep, we were lucky that the other guests were quiet too. There were toothbrushes, bodylotion, shaving kit, and slippers for us. The room is clean, warm and very sunny on the 4th floor. The bed is super comfortable. In the reception area, free water, tea, coffee, and sweets are provided for guests. We didn't have breakfast there. We booked the hotel the day before we went to Madrid in a hurry, because an apartment we booked a long time ago suddenly informed us that they can't accommodate us for our holidays, they pretended to be another rental company that only contacted us by WhatsApp, even though we booked it through booking.com , that seems like a fraud because they refused to send messages through Booking.com, we contacted booking customer support, got good help from them, after many calls and email, they cancelled this terrible apartment and returned money to me. At the same time, they are promised to compensate us if we book a new accommodation that costs more than the previous apartment, which is true, because there were not many good apartments left at the last minute, and we were afraid of being cheated once again after a long flight to Madrid. We luckily found this hotel at the very last minute. So Booking.com is still a safe website to use.

The shower water was thin, but I guess maybe it is like that in Madrid with millions of people.

The hotel was an excellent choice for our short stay in Madrid. It is very centrally located, next to the lively Plaza de España, within walking distance of most major sights of the city, and a two-minute walk to the Plaza de España metro station. Although the hotel is centrally located, the rooms were very quiet, as it is situated on a quiet side street. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good air-conditioning, which is absolutely necessary in Madrid in July. Breakfast was excellent, with nice local cold cuts and cheeses. The staff was extremely helpful, responding kindly and cheerfully to all our needs, including booking a taxi for the airport. A really nice touch, which we greatly appreciated, was the cold-water fountain near the reception, which we could freely use filling our bottles, something that saved us a lot of money, in addition to being beneficial for the environment. Free coffee and pastries were always available at the hotel bar, something that made our stay there even more pleasant. In general, this hotel was really excellent value for money!!!!

Everything was great! No complaint whatsoever!

The room was clean and spacious enough for our 2 day stay. With air conditioning and a fridge which was excellent for the august heat. Staff were helpful and the complimentary tea/coffee and filtered water were a bonus. The location was very good close to a vibrant area but was tucked away on a quieter street.

The bathroom was clean but seemed like it needed an update, the sink tap leaked slightly when in use meaning the floor would get a bit wet. The shower screen needed a towel to be wedged to ensure it stayed in place. We did seem to have a noisy neighbour above us on our final night too, which was annoying.

great variety

The breakfast was excellent BUT it opened too late, at 7:30 . We were supposed to have 3 days breakfast for 2 persons: I lost one breakfast since I had to leave the hotel at 7:35 (I just had 5 minutes to prepare a sandwich and take it with me) . And we lost 2 breakfast of the last day (left the hotel before 7). I've been in hotels of the same category in Spain and other countries, that if you inform the day before that you leave the hotel before the breakfast time, they prepare you a take away small bag (with a sandwich, a fruit and something to drink) and leave it at the front desk. This is a very nice service.

Lovely hotel, well located only a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro, and walkable to most places you’d likely visit nearby. The hotel was clean, room was spacious, bed was comfy and staff were friendly and helpful. Free tea and coffee in the lobby area available 24 hours.

Only downsides are the rooms are a bit dated and there is very little soundproofing (could hear people upstairs and to the sides walking, talking, running the shower, flushing the toilet).
