I guess this location is not a typical choice for holiday makers within the Malaga region but not only was it set within a very quiet leafy avenue of beautiful houses, minutes from the beach & eateries, it had everything you could wish for for a relaxing holiday time, and was still close to the city, a major shopping centre close by and all the coastal resorts. It was very reasonably priced and IMMACULATELY clean. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it. Think it would suit a couple wanting to get away from it all for a few days, as it had a serenity about it. Very pleasantly surprised (we are moving into a house in Spain and needed somewhere for the night, before picking up our keys!)

My son and I met up in Malage for a couple of night together ... (he lives in the UK and I live in Spain). The staff were most friendly and helpful when we both arrived (separately), and during our stay. Spain, and Portugal, experienced a major power outage which lasted for more than 12 hours, the result being there was no hot food available anywhere in the city, with the city being in total chaos. The hotel staff treated us, and other guests with total calm and made available food from their cold menu along with drinks. A special mention must be given to the young staff member on duty ... Thank you Alba, a 5 from ***** rating..

I booked this hotel in a rush because I needed something close to airport as I had an early flight. Didn't think twice about it really until I arrived and realised what an incredibly sweet little hotel it was. Nestled in a very lovely residential area just 5 minute walk away from the sea (very lovely walk too). The hotel itself is really nice, room was very pretty and comfortable, had everything I needed, included a balcony door that opens up into a gorgeous garden area?!? And most importantly, the girl at the front desk (who was new) was amazing. she was so sweet, polite and very helpful. highly recommended.

nothing negative to say apart from the fact that the AC's on/off panel on the wall could do with an upgrade, but apart from that, the place was great.

We stayed here because the apartment we were staying in at Benalmádena was broken in to while we were staying there & we needed somewhere to feel safe & this was the perfect place. We received a lovely welcome & the room was clean, spacious & comfortable. We had tapas served at the hotel which was delicious & we could sit on our private terrace to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is not in a tourist area so not much around the hotel, but they advise you that when booking & as we were only staying for one night it was not an issue.

The Hotel is very comfortable and convenient for the airport. Our room was stylish with a super king size bed, seating area and patio. The pool and beautiful garden are relaxing and within walking distance of a fun casual seafood bar at the coast with tables on the beach. There is some noise from planes taking off but there is good sound insulation and good blackout blinds in the rooms and we were not disturbed.

Very odd that pool towels were not provided in the rooms- the hotel uses a 10€ deposit system per towel. The hotels we usually stay in provide pool Towels as needed and are exchanged each usage or on request. Hotel booked a taxi to airport for us and advised that the trip takes 5 minutes and was charged at €15 but taxi driver asked for €20. The hotel should know the cost of a transfer as they book them every day?

We liked the room, the staff and the location to the beach

The pool and jacuzzi bath were not clean. It was the first day of opening after the winter season but nevertheless the pool should have been cleaned. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and replaced our tv card as it wasn’t working properly. We had an issue in our room number 22. On the day we arrived the weather was particularly wet and cold and we wanted to warm up the room. The air conditioning monitor had a heater indicator that wasn’t working. We couldn’t turn on the heating but nevertheless the beds were so comfortable we got warm eventually. It was a pity these things went unnoticed before the property was reopened. I would still rate the property at 9 and 10 possibly if there was a little more attention to detail before opening.

Nice area. Suburb with large houses, one of which was the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean, and furnished with care. Beds were comfortable. Inviting garden. Communal lounge area. Buffet breakfast small but varied. Close to the sea.

The hotel was small and felt quite transitory. More motel like than the boutique hotel I had expected. 80s decor in the room. No tea and only 2 complimentary cups of coffee in the room. All other drinks, including bottled water, were in the fridge and had to be paid for. Only net curtains. No obvious places to eat, although staff were helpful in giving directions when asked. Breakfast impersonal. Completely self-service.. The hotel is out of town (30 mins on the bus), in the suburbs and a ten minute drive from the airport, in a bit of a no man's land. Tor Torrential rain led to some rooms flooding. Luckily not mine!

We stayed at the Malaga Picasso on our last night in Spain, based on it's proximity to the airport, for an early AM flight. It was convenient and attractive with plenty of street parking for our rental car. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, not at all like an airport hotel. Because of our short stay, we didn't use any of the amenities, but the hotel has an attractive yard with a pool and seating. There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance.

For our purpose, this was a great place to stay.

Hotel Malaga Picasso is a hidden Oasis in a quiet, leafy suburb of Malaga, conveniently close to the airport and the city. If it's relaxation and some downtime that you are after, this is the place to come to. Fabulous garden and pool right outside bedroom door. Small food menu, extensive drinks menu, which will be brought to you in the garden. A handful of little cafe/bar/restaurants in the neighborhood. Beach 5 mins walk. Staff is super friendly and efficient. Will definitely return. 💚

Loved everything

Such a lovely hotel in a nice area near the airport of Malaga. The receptionist was extremely helpful and explained how to take the bus to Malaga city centre (took 30 minutes). It was too cold to use the pool, but it was nice to see it in the garden. The breakfast was very good with everything we wished for. The hotel employer kept filling up and bringing fresh food. We had a very nice hotel room with a spacious bed. Thank you very much for all your help, Hotel Malaga Picasso!

There was nothing to dislike. It was a wonderful hotel with great staff.
