Superior room spacious and well equipped. Also quiet as requested. Quality and choice of food excellent. Fridge and kettle in room. Complimentary flamenco show one night per week which was very good. Most reception staff very helpful and courteous. Lots of trees and plants in the beautiful gardens.

Mattresses on beds very soft due to lots of use. Definitely ready for replacement. Being expected to pay to use the safe. Being expected to pay €3 to replace a few teabags and sachets of coffee in room. No tea or coffee available in dining room in the evening. Not being able to pay for drinks in the bar with cash. Drinks had to be ordered through a QR code and paid for with a card. Staff in bar extremely busy, stressed and therefore unhelpful. Do we really need this on holiday!?

Please do not listen to the negative reviews!!!! I checked out today after a wonderful stay. I saw no ants, the whole place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly everywhere we went, especially the reception staff. The food is great..with lots of choice for breakfast and dinner. The only thing I’d say is the hotel is on a main road so if you don’t want to hear traffic noise don’t stay at the front. Our room was 278 which is next to the big pool. It was huge, and very quiet. The I would definitely stay at the BlueBay Banus again if I came back to Marbs!

Absolutely perfect position and homely feel to the hotel. Little updating required but still lovely. Situated within walking distance to all amenities in Puerto Banus.

Noisy with kids and some intoxicated adults outside our rooms (518&519) on the lawns. Also require security to check on this and keep people quiet after midnight and signs should be up to ask all to be quiet from 23:00 and be considerate of other guests. Doors in bedroom (518) had gaps in that go to the verandah and slats of shutters were broken. The verandah chair cushions were dirty and verandah wall was so high couldn’t sit and enjoy any view. The curtains were very light as seen though and the net white curtain behind am was so short in width never covered much. Lamps outside shone through the curtains. Would suggest blinds or blockout lining to curtains.

gardens were exceptionally beautifully maintained. Very colourful and tropical. Lots of space to walk around. Cobbled areas and chapel absolutely stunning and lovely whitewashed buildings gave it a classic Spanish feel. Excellent cleaning staff- polite and friendly. Clean inviting pool. Lifeguard available nearby.

Beds too HARD! Need memory foam mattresses for all! Outside breakfast area not open during day. would provide a lovely sitting area to overlook grounds. Small pool not open at all but looked very appealing! Benefit would be a BBQ once a week outside.

My wife and I were looking for a reasonably priced hotel within what is an expensive location. We have been going to Marbella for a number of years and always shared an apartment. This was our first stay in a local hotel and far exceeded our expectations. Its location to Puerto Banus and San Pedro plus walking distance to the beach made it an ideal base. The hotel has lots of facilities, is well kept and has a very courteous, professional and helpful staff. When checking beforehand there had been negative comments about the hotel being alongside a motorway. I can honestly say that I’m a light sleeper and found the traffic noise minimal. Based on our experience I highly recommend the Blue Bay Banus as an excellent holiday location.

This hotel is a gem: beautiful, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean despite its age. The staff is incredibly friendly, from the man who welcomed us to the team at the pool. The location is excellent, just five minutes from the beach and ten minutes from Puerto Banús, with a bus to the city center right in front of the hotel. The pool area is spacious, and the hotel's gardens are delightful. We enjoyed having breakfast outside in this lovely setting.I was initially hesitant to book due to some reviews, but the hotel far exceeded my expectations and deserves a perfect 10. We were kindly upgraded to a very large, suite with a wonderful view and a balcony. Our stay was fantastic, and we will definitely return.

The Place is like a nice little heaven on earth, a very nice area quiet, and still nice to walk to the beach area or the Yacht area, or even there is a nice restaurant area 5 minutes driving a lot cheaper and with a nice vibe. I needed to go to the pharmacy my wife was sick and guys helped me and the people are professional

The nice lady that cleans the rooms, knocked on the door 3 times before the checkout time, she was smiling and lovely but would have prefered if she did not open our room before the check out time

It was a good choice to accommodate myself here. The staff was polite and helpful and with a smile on their faces. The bedroom was nice, spacious, and clean. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. There were a large choice for everyone's taste - delicious, tasty, healthy food, a lot of vegetables. The location is very convenient. Walking distance to the beach and to the Puerto Banus, 2 mins to bus stop that brings you in Marbella centre in about 15 mins if I remember. I'm a happy and grateful customer ☺️

Comfortable room with good amenities and a lovely terrace for relaxing. The surroundings are really beautiful. I enjoyed using the pool and the sun beds, especially the Balinese beds in 'Bar Cascada'. The staff are absolutely brilliant from the porter, Alex to all of the reception staff. Jose, Angel. They are all very patient and despite the fact it can get very busy on reception they try their absolute best to meet your requirements. The food served in the restaurant is definitely ten out of ten. The food is fresh and there is always a good variety to cater for all tastes at both breakfast and dinner. Overall, BlueBay Banus is a very pleasant place to stay and the professionalism and courtesy of all of the staff makes all the difference. It is certainly good value for money. Definitely would like to visit again next year.

The size of the hotel means that some rooms can be some distance from the reception area. We requested a quiet spot and so we were allocated rooms at the far end of the building. This meant we had to drag our suitcases across the terrace and up two flights of stairs as unfortunately there are no lifts. The porter was very kind and gave us a big hand in this. However, we had to wait around a little while to get the help and we ended up loosing the wheels of two of our suitcases. Nevertheless, the reception staff (Jose Angel), including the duty manager, Mar Rubia Garrido, did their best to compensate us and so it made up for the frustrating experience.
