La Joyuca del Pas is conveniently located near the train station in Mogro with a great restaurant next door. It is clean, comfortable and a welcome respite on the Camino del Norte. The staff is welcoming and offers pilgrims a cold orange juice at check-in and will do a load of laundry for you. Drinks and snacks are available and Laurie, the owner, is very hospitable and willing to spend time (if she has it) talking over a glass of wine. The grounds are lovely as are the rooms. Beau the dog is friendly and enjoys playing fetch. I believe that La Joyuca del Pas is “must stay” on the Camino or if enjoying a vacation on the Costa Quebrada.

Beautiful property to relax after a long day walking on Camino. There is a lovely garden to relax in and seating area in property for guests to sit. The decor throughout is outstanding and very tasteful. We walked to Boo and then Mogro is 1 stop away on the train. The owner is very pleasant and showed us where to start Camino next morning. The breakfast is delicious and the table crockery just beautiful. Thus property would be in my top 5 of anywhere I’ve stayed. I couldn’t praise it enough.

The owner said we could make ourselves tea or coffee in the kitchen but there was no milk in fridge and there was a sign on reception to say it was closed

Where do I start?! My stay at the Joyuca del Pas was the most lovely of my trip! It is around 20 minutes outside Santander in the little village of Mogro which is accessible by car or train. (I was walking the Camino de Santiago and it is not recommended to cross the railway bridge of the Pas, so I took the train over). It is located right next to the train station and a small bar. On arrival (quite late) I had hoped to get a meal in the small bar next door, however they did not have a chef that day. I was then going to get by on the snacks I had in my bag, until the next day, but the Lovely Eva offered to make me some food (as i was a pilgrim) which was completely unexpected and so kind of her! We had a lovely chat in Spanish that evening and she showed me around my room which was absolutely beautiful, really rustic, authentic and comfortable. Muchas Gracias Eva, eres una estrella! :) Breakfast the next day was also lovely with lots of choice and in a really beautifully decorated dining room. I hope to return one day!

Everything about the place was excellent.We were made to feel so welcome on our arrival and so was our dog. The rooms are excellent and the garden was so nice to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine outdoors. The breakfast likewise was extremely good. Can’t fault the place and will definitely be staying again..nice bar/ restaurant next door with excellent atmosphere.

Not too be missed! A wonderful bed and breakfast! Laurie, the owner makes you feel at home the minute you arrive. She even does your laundry if you are walking the camino del Norte - thank you Laurie! The room is beautifully furnished as is the rest of het house. Lovely garden to relax in after a long walk. Breakfast is served in a beautiful breakfast room - delicious cold meats, cheese, fresh fruit etc. Highly recommended!

Would love to have stayed longer!

I was lucky enough to meet the owner who is American and what a lovely lady so helpful even booked a restaurant for us and gave directions and as I told her the hotel is lovely and also so handy to ferry port then when you arrive there's a lovely pub next door honestly this hotel is brilliant and I thank all staff and owner absolutely magic thank you and all the best and thanks for upgrade stunning

This posada was absolutely lovely. It was a beautiful old stone house, newly remodeled and decorated. The owner, Laurie, is very welcoming. She takes care of her guests and pilgrims! There is a little restaurant right next to the posada, and the food there is excellent. It is located right next to the train station. I will make a point to stay here whenever I walk through this section of the Camino del Norte.

We are pilgrims on the Camino. Host (Laura) sent us a recommendation to take the longer coastal trail and committed to picking us up if we got tired. It was a stupendous trail. We are so glad we did it, and would not have without Laura’s encouragement. The room was cute and they helped us separate the twin beds. Wonderfully sunny breakfast room. Now the dog was very friendly.

The owner was so incredibly welcoming. She offered me fresh squeezed juice upon my arrival. We sat and talked awhile before I got my room. Since I was hiking the Camino she offered to do a load of laundry for me. Felt like I had just came in to visit an old friend. The accompidatiions and breakfast offering was absolutely lovely

Great house, beautiful garden. We didn't take the breakfast and regret it because the breakfast room looked amazing. The host is fully knowledge of the surrounding area and gave us lots of information.

We only stayed one night so I don't have much to talk about, the only thing that wasn't so pleasant was the overpowering room scent, which was so strong that even made us dizzy. Throughout the trip in Spain I found its pretty common in bnbs though...
