The hospitality is outstanding. Was made to feel welcome right from the start and given a map of the town with all the places to see. Cecilia and Jarno were so friendly and lovely. The home made tapas were amazing, best food in Nerje. The hostal is a short walk to the bus station and close to the centre of town. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a small balcony to sit out on. Would definitely stay here again.

Jarno & Cecilia are excellent hosts. Always willing to provide any information requested and offering tips to help us get the best from our holiday. Check-in was hassle-free and our entire stay was very enjoyable. We stayed in a self-catering suite with an excellent terrace. Whilst some aspects of the property are slightly dated, we had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable (I'm 1.96 metres 🙂). One of the reasons we chose the property was greater access to parking than the heart of the old town. This turned out to be very helpful and the short walk to the restaurants etc was very pleasant. It was a pleasure staying with Jarno & Cecilia and we would happily recommend their property.

Our stay at Hostal Alegre was amazing, Cecilia & Jarno are the best of hosts. Their love and care show in every detail of the place. Very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The bar is also super nice and worth a stay for a drink and some homemade tapas. And whenever we were in need of any recommendations or advice, they were extremely helpful as well. When you are there, you can really feel how much they enjoy being hosts, interacting with their guests, and doing everything to make their stay worthwhile. We would definitely book there again if we return to the area.

Myself, my boyfriend and my parents thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hostal Alegre! We wish we could have stayed longer. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt very welcomed and well taken care of. The owners are truly hospitable and care for their guests and community. On our departure day, we were given the flexibility to stay longer until our taxi arrived to go to the airport. The pool was a great feature for relaxing, and the beach was close and easy to navigate to. The same goes for the city centre, close enough but not right in the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

The couple running the hostel were really friendly and very helpful. They gave us great advice about where to go each day and how to get there. There was a good selection of books to read so that when I finished my book earlier than planned, I was able to exchange it for another. The hostel is located close to a couple of supermarkets and is only a 10 minute walk away from where you can catch the main buses. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Nerja.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about my accommodation. I would recommend this to anyone.

Spacious, well equipped apartment with a balcony and (!) a huge patio. Very kind and responsive hosts, Jarno helped out with everything, gave us beach towels free of charge and lent me a book I ended up keeping because I hadn’t finished it before we left. Great experience, well recommended. 😊

It tends to get a bit noisy as it’s next to the main road. Some curtains would also do be a good idea as the flat is on the ground floor, so you’re either in the dark or fully out in everyone’s sight.

Really nice apartments and shared pool, with plenty of restaurants, beaches and shops around. Our apartment was larger than expected, with great facilities including gas hobs, fridge/freezer and private balcony with beautiful views of the mountains.

Very nice hosts, they serve reallyvgood meals at the bar. It is a beatufill building with nice old decorations. We have received an apartment instead of the room for the same price which was really comfortable. No parking but we always have found the place to park.

Lovely studio apartment, everything I needed, great location, super-comfortable bed, lovely and clean. Everything was really great and would definitely want to return in the future. Super friendly hosts who made my stay very enjoyable and everything was easy and smooth.

Brilliant hospitality and a beautiful room in an easy access location to both the town and Burriana. Cannot believe we haven’t stayed here before and definitely will be staying again.
