Comfortable bed, clean. Lots of eclectic items in the public areas - grandfather clocks, suit of armor, bear skin rugs, etc.

There seemed to be no staff at the hotel. We arrived and the front door was locked. We called and were told the key was in a lock box. The restaurant has burned down and it was a long walk to get meals in the city center. There was a sign that breakfast was offered at 830AM but there was no one there. Oddly a side room was full of dirty coffee cups and orange juice glasses. Not sure if other guests are well before 830AM. It was a bit odd.

The decoration of the overall hotel was interesting, like an antique building. The suit of armor in the front will give you an idea. Room was large; bed comfortable. It's all good

Shower head wouldn't stay put. The exterior of the building makes it seem worse than it is inside. The location- nothing directly next to the hotel, you have to walk to the old town out down the street a bit to get to things. Right next to the Camino if you're looking for that. Great spot for pilgrims

Extremely clean. Nice and helpful staff. Great location. Spacious room.

I didn't dislike anything, but as some may judge the hotel by its looks. It is worn out from the outside, the inside is the cleanest hotel I've stayed in, despite being old.

All of it, And the bar within does excellent food.

No complaints, just be aware that if you're relying on public transport, there are days of the week where you can not leave puebla de sanabria!!!, but a nice place to get stuck.

Very nice welcome. We came by bicycle and it was cold and rainy so they let us check in a bit earlier which was very nice. The room was spacious and clean. Would come again.

very nice place, comfortable room for good price. double windows kept noise to a minimum. very helpful desk staff. location is just outside the medieval center, 10 mins walk (steep!) to the Castillo.

I liked everything, but the steep walk to the plaza mayor might not be to everyone’s taste or ability.

It was a perfect stop for the Camino

Unfortunately breakfast was served too late for walking the Camino as I left early

Good value, rooms were a good size, on the outskirts of the city- but a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre

It was a little cold when we first arrived and in the morning.

We enjoyed the stay in this old hotel very much. The rooms were confortable and perfect size for a family travelling with children. We also loved the location (I saw some comments who did not like to walk to the village, but for us it was great, we liked very much the 400m-walk to the village). Beautiful nature.

Breakfast was nothing special.

An excellent hotel without any shiny luxyry. Rooms are nice, clean, big enough and reasonably cheap, History is all around and for dog-owners the riveride beside is a paradise. Excellent stuff, also.
