Excellent vibes Excellent staff To note; Strictly speaking is 3.5-4 star over all Beach is not exclusive or private. Hotel has access to communal beach. Beach itself is pebbled beach, not busy. Breakfast is buffet, limited and 3 star Minibar empty so have to ask for stuff that gets quickly delivered Bit odd not to have bathroom toilet door for complete privacy Rooms are good size with balcony Beds are comfortable Our room was communicating room Parking is secure but may be limited and charged extra Pools for kids and adults are closed in winter season but look great We did not attend spa or gym but would be good

The facilities were recently renovated and looked modern and nice. The bed was very comfortable and huge so, we could rest very good.

The main point was regarding the quality of the food and its cost. The prices of the restaurants were really expensive for the quality of the food they offer. The buffet was 37€ per person, beverages not included, and the buffet was correct but not the quality and variety you expect when paying more than 80€ for two people… And the other two restaurants shared the same menu and they had too low food quality for the high prices they have. For example, 14€ for 6 micro squids, or a tomato salad for 14-15€ where the tomatoes were overripe.

• First of all I have to mention the staff!! They were all amazingly kind, helpful and smiling. I mean in every team, really outstanding! • The hotel is beautiful, it is very clean and neat even at the end of their summer season, so great maintenance I suppose. • The room was spacious and very clean with a side sea view, plus the Mountain View was lovely. Really comfy beds. • The outside area is great, clean and spacious with lots of sun beds, seating areas, a bar and two pools it was lovely. Fantastic breakfast and really nice room service!

• The location as in the fact that there is nothing to see in the area, Retamar has a 80’s beach town vibe, a bit run down when you get away from the big hotels. We drove to Almeria which is terrible and dirty, we went to Cabo Gata national park and the plastic and rubbish everywhere is horrendous! The view from the faro was ok. That being said if you want a relaxing stay by the pool, a walk near the sea this is a great place! • I don’t like the individual bathroom amenities with plastic/paper wrappings because of the waste that it creates for the planet but I get that being a five star hotel you have to offer these products.

The staff are excellent, very helpful & polite. It's easy enough to find a place to park in the public parking area next to the hotel without having to pay the 20€/night for the hotel parking. The room was very nice with no noise from outside. Spacious enough for a couple. Close to the beach when the weather is nice (when we were there, it was not!) A very good a la carte restaurant. Not far from either Almeria city, or to Cabo de Gata National Park, both of which we enjoyed visiting. On the whole, a nice weekend stay.

Very disappointed with the indoor pool & spa. the water jets, etc did not work. Neither did the showers.

Almost everything, fantastic facilities and treatment.

The service and efficiency in the pool bar was seriously lacking. They never knew where rarely ordered items coukd be found, they were loud, the argued amongst themselves and took forever to take and fill your order. Curiously, and this is true, it worked much better when the crew was just women. The men tended to bluster around not really accomplishing anything. Very frustrating. That being said, in the actual restaurant for breakfast and dinner buffets the food and service was always really good. We’ll definitely go back , but the poolside bar simply needs to be much more professional.

Uhmm it's a dream resort.. the hotel, the food, the people, the rooms,the staff!! Wish I could name them all.. Miguel/Ariana/Alicia/Jose/Diego/Antonio/Manuel/Andres Then all the breakfast staff. Next time we'll add dinner.. So relaxing & tranquil Location is great HIGHLY RECOMMEND THÀNK YOU ALL FOR AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH 😢❤️ Thank you Christ for this experience!

The pools were beautiful, the rooms were lovely and the staff were all super helpful and friendly

The place is amazing and the staff are very attentive to you as a guest. We had a great time although we were out most of the time…we had a nice view and a very nice room.

I would suggest to put up a sign on the entrance for checking in and having the car only for unloading and loading the bags rather than telling guests to do the unloading quickly. This helps the conflict of offending guests and sets up expectations upfront.

It was a beautiful hotel ambiance was really nice. Well kept reception and lobby very stylish. Pool area very nice.

The food, it was atrocious, we paid €72 for the most awful meal I have ever had, 2 people buffet. Food was cold. Chicken legs😕no breast 5 star hotel😱Fish wasn’t fresh, paella cold, pasta cold, chips cold, patatas brava cold. Beef stroganoff was so salty couldn’t eat it. I have travelled the world I have never ever seen a buffet like this,no pork, no lamb. The price was rip off. I thought we were going to get gourmet food for that price. A steak and chips wouldn’t have cost that and would have been filling and enjoyable. Manageable wake up and see what your serving.

The hotel is beautifullt decorated, impeccably clean, staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is ideal to the beach , promenade,restaurants and supermarket. We could not fault it in terms of decor , staff and location but it lacks atmosphere. I would suggest this as an adults only clasd of hotel .

The hotel lacks lively entertainment. It did provide a nightly entertainment where an individual or duo sang however very few people stayed in the bar to listen to the entertainment and we found that it lacked atmosphere . I would like to see a better selection of nightly entertainment as our 3 teenagers 13, 17, 19 were not enjoying it and did not want to stay to listen to it.
