The unbeatable slightly elevated location and view over the beautiful bay, bridge and river. The reception staff - especially Rachel - were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was a good size and offered an excellent buffet breakfast for €12pp. We loved the terrace bar too for an aperitivo or quick bite. Free parking nearby. We visited the beach and swam in the bay too! Town centre with lots of seafood restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. We would definitely go back.

The decor of room was adequate but in need of tlc and fridge.

Great location overlooking the river estuary, castle, church and mountains. Excellent check in and departure. An asset to the hotel is Diego (Viego?) on the reception desk. He was an outstanding member of hotel staff during a tour consisting of 11 hotels. He was exceptional for his warm welcome, his helpful and friendly manner and general demeanour. The management of this hotel should make sure he is commended. He is a definite asset. Paid extra for a superior room, well worth it in terms of comfort and size.

The restaurant area was a bit functional and the menu restrictive so no incentive to eat there.

Location was great, the room spacious with large shower and a good breakfast. We arrived early to leave our bags, but as the room was ready they let us check in 2 hours early. The bed was very comfortable and room service food was good.

There was no fan in the bathroon, so a lot of moisture. The outside shutter blind wouldn't lower, so first night lots of light and not much privacy from neighbours.

I stayed only one night but the experience was great. The hotel is very nice, the staff were helpful. I could leave my luggage in the reception already in the morning, before the check-in time. The room was smaller but comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small. The biggest surprise was that there is a washing machine and the dryer available for the guests, you use coins. The food in the restaurant was also good, I had octopus for dinner.

Hotel is directly on the main street, my room was located into the yard. I stayed only 1 night so ok. room big enough, clean, bathroom same. Used bar in the evening, nice personal.

View to the yard not nice, no balcony as well. Since I stayed short, was ok. I didnt have breakfast, as the price of 12eur is way too high.. Price for the room also quite high

The staff have to get the first mention. Helpful and friendly guiding us to a basement car park for our motorbikes. Some much need chilled beer was provided before we booked in. The room was very comfortable and well laid out. The breakfast provided everything you could wish to set you up for the day. This is an hotel I would like to come back to.

On arrival the hotel had lost our booking.com reservation and didn't have the room we booked available. However they were very apologetic and they did everything possible sort an alternative. They made up for the problem and resolved the situation to our satisfaction. We left as happy customers. We enjoyed a lovely drink on the sun terrace. The breakfast was the best we had on the Camino and gave a welcome boost to our day walking.

The room was just fine and comfortable enough. Our room didn't really have a view other that that of the building next door. With it being in June and in the off season, we didn't eat at the restaurant but did have drinks at the bar and breakfast the next morning. Both were great and good value.

The room was very bright due to the location of a street light and needing to keep the windows open. There was no A/C but with the fan in the room and the cool weather it wasn't uncomfortable. This is the normal in Europe but just something to be aware of.

Very nice modern hotel perched looking out on the town and the sea. Flexible check in when we arrived early. Very comfortable room. Very good breakfast.

A little noisy in the evening due to a large French group having a party in a private room. Settled down around 11pm.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is very attractive and the room was lovely. The hotel restaurant was also very good. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of San Vicente de la Barquera. We would love to come back and stay longer.
