Amazing location on the beach we could hear the sound of the waves all night. Excellent breakfast with wide range of cold foods, meats cheese eggs fruit yoghurt coffee tea etc Staff at the checkin desk were friendly and helpful. The bar/ breakfast areas have great sea/beach views.

Before arrival i was charged the full price on my credit card in sterling at an exchange rate applied by the hotel bank. I expected to be charged in euros in accordance with booking.com policy which would have involved applying my own banks exchange rate and saving me over £7 per night. When I queried this with both the hotel and booking.com neither would accept responsibility or rectify the matter.

Stunning location overlooking the sea. What a treat to leave the window open and hear the waves all night. Such bliss. We moved her from another place one night early because people upstairs kept us awake partying and what a difference here. The only noise was the sea. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff really friendly and put up which the fact that I didn’t speak Spanish. We also ate at their restaurant which was wonderful. Breakfast was full of treats. Yep we loved it and should have stayed here in the first place

Having read some quite negative reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. However we found the hotel to be very clean, the staff helpful and friendly, the breakfast was excellent - ham & cheese selection, fresh croissants, breads, a selection of cakes, chopped melon and whole pieces of fruit & yoghurt. The location is obviously wonderful and the sound of the sea is so relaxing, we slept so well. The room was cleaned daily and the overall standard of cleanliness was great. Also a very nice hot and powerful shower. Would definitely stay again. We used the street parking just outside hotel, very easy to use with an app you download.

There is no extractor fan in the bathroom.

location was brilliant. it's right on the sea front. we booked the ocean view room and initially got given the room which was behind the staircase. so our view and light was blocked. but they agreed to move us. this is a no frills hotel but it served our purpose of staying. beds were comfortable. room was clean and well maintained. we had breakfast at the hotel which was not included and we got to sit outside and enjoy the ocean view whilst eating. you don't need to pick the full breakfast we just ordered a individual thing and coffee and it was lovely. as it's two star you don't get water in the room or a kettle but their coffee is well worth a visit.

Happy with all once we moved rooms.

Staying in Comillas felt like a Camino upgrade! We had a beautiful house by the sea — waking up to the sound of waves and ending the day with ocean views was just surreal. The town itself is stunning, full of character, with Gaudí architecture, charming streets, and a super relaxed vibe. It was the perfect blend of rest, beauty, and seaside magic. One of those places you secretly wish you could stay an extra day… or three. Absolute heaven!

food was good the bed was comfy location is amazing right on the beach , it feels like you are on a boat you are so close to the sea. the bedroom windows open up very wide its a beautiful view of the beach . The breakfast is ok not worth the money its better. just to get up at any time and order a coffee at the bar, and they do fresh juice and tortilla .

the steps down to the beach are a bit precarious and the breakfast is not really worth the money is not very nice . just get great coffee at the bar

Location is excellent and unique - above a beautiful beach. The sound of ocean waves is mesmerising. Direct stairs from the hotel to the beach. Parking is right by the entrance.

Dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant, only outside. The bottom floor with guest rooms is old, while the upper floor seems nicely renovated - at least the hallway looks good. Breakfast is okay.

This is a special family owned hotel, built right on the beach in the 1960s. The view is unbelievable - straight out to the Atlantic and beach - the roar of the ocean incredible at high tide. Staff are lovely. The town of Comillas is fantastic.

It is a little bit tired in places in the rooms but the view makes up for it.

The location is ideal for walking into town. The real bonus is its proximity to the beach and the stunning views from all of the bedrooms. Furthermore, all of the rooms have been refurbished to a much higher and comfortable standard than before. This was our third visit and we hope to return in the future. It’s also such an interesting little town.

There isn’t anything to dislike.

Incredible sea views from our room! Felt we were at sea as we could hear the waves crashing! Nicely decorated room and bathroom. We didn’t have breakfast included so had it at the bar which was quick and cheaper than the buffet
