The hotel is is the heart of Santa Cruz, right on one of the main peatonal streets. Luckily, our window was to the interior patio, so we did not hear any noise from the street. The room was super big (hor a hotel un Spain, haha) and the bathroom huge and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Also the staff is nice and helpful. If you rent a car and you are confortable with a 10 mins walk, the parking of the Harbour is free. You also have 2 other underground parkings right near the hotel, but for us it seemd kind of expensive to park the car there overnight.

The room's doors are too thin and old and you can hear any noise from inside the hall. So it depends a lot with what kind of tourists you synchronize. We stayed one week and there were quiet nights, but others with people coming from parties at 4am and singing or fanilies check-out-ing at 6am and kids making a lot of noise screaming on the hall for a too long time.

Our lodging for this part of the journey was Hotel Atlántico Centro, a charming little spot right on one of the main thoroughfares called Calle Castillo. Originally we were in Hotel Oceano, a joint owned hotel 30 metres down the road which was OK but stuffy. They are working on the addition of air conditioning. After talking with Deres, a polite, friendly and helpful desk clerk he moved us into Atlantico, room 402 which was great, overlooking the promenade. Little noisy late at night because of revellers returning from social activities but doesn’t last very long. Santa Cruz is a nice little spot, occasionally busy from the cruise crowds but not overly so.

Travellers should be aware Spain has unique dining times or periods. Majority of restaurants do not open for supper until late, sometime between 7:30 to 8:30 PM depending on the establishment. Unless accustomed to it or an eating regime planned, it can be a little offsetting to the body’s natural rhythm.

Location is brilliant right in middle of pedestrianised shopping district where you are spoilt for choice with cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean ad super value for money if you are just looking for a comfortable room for sleeping and showering. We had an internal room which was very quiet and you couldn't hear any of the busy street sounds.

For my personal preference I didn't like the strong automatic air freshener which was a bit overpowering in the room. It was situated in the ensuite shower room but the whole room was fragranced. That's just me though I can't tolerate strong smells like this.

very good location, close to everything nice balcony i booked the double room and it was very spatious, very big bed, comfortable clean

it was very noisy, you could hear everything from your neighbours and from outside, but i was so tired that i slept well and this didn’t bother me. if you are the light sleeper it might bother you the room was somehow old, but that also didn’t bother me. don’t expect luxury

Nice and cozy old fashioned city center hotel. I liked old big double windows and narrow balcony with wooden barrier. Room has everything nessessary for city center base, suitable for few nights stay/sleep. Walls seemed to be soundproof but doors were not original (not same pair with rest of woodwork) and all sound from hallway came through door. If you are light sleeper, ask for courtyard (maybe 5x5m) view. We had street wiew and windows wide open all night, so enjoyed sounds of city.

Power plug-in locations next to bed, no USB connection. Elevator was out of use and air-conditioning unots switched off, it was 30°C and sunny outside, so would have needed it, small fan did not compensate.

It’s as central as it gets, perfect location! The double rooms have windows on the outside so it’s also a nice view there and fresh air

Solo rooms are facing the inside of the building making you hear every noise there is in all other single rooms and see many of your neighbors. It might be also loud in the double room at night due to central location although it wasn’t too bad for us. The street and nearby streets are pedestrian streets so no parking right next to hostel. In general we were looking for parking near us usually for half an hour every day

No breakfast but plenty nearby. Excellent location and rooms very modern and recently updated. My room wonderfully located with two French windows overlooking main shopping street. Very spacious.

Nothing. Reception in separate building (only a few yards away) odd but gives extra privacy and freedom. No safe and hairdryer but expected for the very reasonable price.

The room was quite nice, small, clean, but without bedding, only a blanket. Everything is fine with the bathroom. However, the room on the inside means you can literally hear everything from all floors because it is not soundproof. You can even hear the TV when your neighbor was playing, or when your neighbor was taking a shower... you could hear the water running!! Very loud and impossible to sleep without earplugs. No air conditioning/heating, only one fan, and you can't open the window because you can hear all the noise from all floors. No hair dryer...

I was really pleasantly surprised with the size of the room and the great bathroom which had a bathtub and shower (that was unexpected). It had modern finishes and a place to work, as well as a sofa couch. The location was great, I literally just walked out into the main square.

The only gripe I might have is the room is dark. The windows face inwards - so if you need light and bright in your life this place may not be for you but for those looking for a quiet, cool place to rest their head...then this is probably a good choice for you.

Great value if you're on a budget. My room was facing the back patio which made it really quiet despite the hotel's main street location. Simple standard but everything you need for a budget stay in a really good location.

The beds were a tiny bit creaky, but not really a problem. Would have been a plus with a tea kettle in the room, but plenty of coffee options right outside the hotel.
