Absolute gem of a hotel that is ideally located for staying in before travel to the Santander ferry. I had travelled for 10hrs to arrive into the hotel for one night. Somo is a stunning little town right on the coast and is within 25km of the Santander ferry port. The staff were very welcoming, had great English, which made check in very easy. The rooms in the hotel are like mini-suites. Mine had a fridge, a private outdoor balcony and was spotless when I checked in. Breakfast was simply delicious and the coffee was superb, and all for just 2.95 Euros! Would go back again. Worth every cent and better than a lot of hotels I have stayed in over the years,

Location, cleanliness and above all the outstanding customer service received by the staff from all areas. From Recepcion, Mar and her colleagues made every effort to ensure all customers feel welcome, offered assistance, answering questions etc. The ladies from the cleaning department were most polite and attentive. The staff in the bar-restaurant were approachable, friendly and welcoming. Is for that reason that we visit the Hotel Bemon Playa at least three times a year. Thank you all for being extremely professional and delivering an outstanding customer service.

Comfortable modern clean hotel. It was very quiet during our stay in March. Friendly staff and dog friendly as we were travelling with our dog.

Quite expensive for dogs supplement it was being increased from 10 e to 15 e per night. The attached cafe is handy but we didn’t try it. Lovely location close to the beach and the little ferry boat to Santander is nearby too.

Very clean, tidy and great ambience. Excellent location for food, drinks, supermarket (if you need it) and access to the beach and surf accommodations.

My room didn't have aircon so I got a bit warm at times but the large door to the balcony helped to ventilate.

check in was very quick. The staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and tidy. The food was excellent, we had a set 3 course set meal one lunch time(paella, Hake and prawns, cheesecake, bottle off wine and coffee. It was fantastic. The staff behind the bar were friendly and very attentive.

Came down for breakfast to find there was no breakfast buffet and had to go to the bar to find something to eat. Also the hotel does not have its own car park so you have to park on the street outside and pay 5.5€ to stay 24 hours. I would use this hotel again if necessary.

Friendly staff. Easy access. Good location. For a quick overnight stay on our drive from France to Galicia, it was excellent. We had a quick sandwich and beer at the bar upon arrival, foregoing the breakfast buffet for another bite and coffee at the bar before leaving the next morning -- both very good value.

Location was excellent, really near Somo beach and bars as well as a supermarket. The room was spacious and had a small balcony. The staff could not do enough to help with any query or request, they were truly excellent.

There was no air conditioning, so had to leave balcony door open at night. This meant we could hear all the noises from outside, mostly other people as balconies are extremely close to one another.

Nothing - slight misunderstanding re breakfast menu but our fault for not speaking Spanish. It was in English but we didn’t get what we pointed to ! Very minor issue
