Location, location, location! Two minute walk to the beach!!! One minute walk to the local bar! 25 minute walk into the city centre! Clean and fairly comfortable. The room was cleaned daily! Breakfast was pretty good. The showers in the rooms are excellent, especially after a day on the beach! Staff were friendly and courteous. And it was a bargain at £73 a night.

Not so much didn’t like, but the rooms are small, though well appointed. We came for a week and had cases, body board and it was a squeeze! But we weren’t in much, so it wasn’t a killer. No air conditioning, which meant you had to have windows open but it is the start of the mosquito season!!!

Lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are quite small, but adequate for the price paid. Clean and tidy. Location is perfect - opposite a golden, long sandy beach. Short walk into the square and 25 mins walk into town. Would recommend for a short break.

Rooms are small and can be a bit noisy if you are located on the ground floor as this is were the entrance is. Breakfast choice is limited, but again adequate. Could do with some nicer bread choices and fruit options. Fresh orange juice and a kettle to make tea and coffee was the best thing. Sight issue that needs to be fixed is that the shower door didn't close, so flooded the bathroom.

We were a family of 4 staying at the hotel for 2 wks. Two adults and two teenagers. We loved the location. It was right across the road from the most fabulous beach. The hotel was small and quaint, also very clean. Location was very close to restaurants and busses into Santander. Breakfast was a continental breakfast and it was fresh and delicious. Any of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We also took to bus to Bilbao which was only 90 mins away and we visited the Guggenheim museum.

This is minor bit the coffee at breakfast was cold every morning and had to be heated by microwave . There was a nespresso machine the first morning but it disappeared after that. Other than that minor fact everything was excellent. It might bother some people but there was no A/C.

This is a little gem of a hotel. Perfect for a short stay. I did 3 nights. Yes its quirky, yes the room I had was small as was the balcony , yes the breakfast is a bit samey but the welcome and helpfulness from Rachael on reception was excellent. The hotel is a 3 min walk from a beautiful beach and a promenade. There are restaurants and cafes close by . If you want to go into the centre or to the port its a 35 min walk. I walked there one day, its mainly flat and along the coast its an enjoyable walk. Taxi to the centre varied between 8 and 12 Euros and taxis are plentiful. Lovely terrace to sit on at the front of the hotel and access to a kitchen for unlimited help yourself coffee and tea. Good wifi throughout. The place is very clean and the lady who cleans was lovely. The evening receptionist was also friendly and helpful. Jesus was on breakfast duty and was also lovely. Thank you all for looking after me, Sally xx

Leaving!

Previous reviewers weren’t joking when they said the rooms are small - I could touch all four walls from my bed! But, the location is great - I could see the sea and hear it and for under €80 a night September prices), so I was happy with that. Breakfast choice was decent - eggs, yoghurt, fruit etc. All the staff are nice, barring the querulous one who produces the breakfast. Overall, it’s a slightly eccentric hotel, but it defo has character!

My room needs some money invested in it - lights that don’t work, plug sockets broken, very outdated bed spread and curtains. It’s all liveable with, but it would make guests feel more valued. Breakfast at 8am (the sign says 8.15) is too late - 7am is much more practical if you want to make the most of the day.

The breakfast was a good selection of meats and cereals ans savouries and sweet snacks. Fresh coffee and teas. The reception staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help if I needed anything and were polite. The housekeeping staff were great kept my room and entire hotel clean and tidy and were also friendly and polite always cleaned the room daily and clean fresh towels daily The hotel itself was amazing and beautifully decorated and the theme was so stylish and of a very high standard

Sorry to say but the hotel was was excellent and I can't find any faults what so ever

Great location, right next to Sardinero beach, Bus stop with excellent links to the city 2 minutes away. Very nicely decorated and comfortable room, the buffet breakfast was excellent and the hotel was very accommodating for guests with a plant based diet. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily and was spotless. The promenade had great walks around the Magdalena palace and even more great beaches and the other direction had a wonderful clifftop walk to the lighthouse, which had a lovely art gallery and guess what, even more fantastic beaches to discover along the way! Public transport is cheap and plentiful with frequent buses into the city which is bustling and with plenty of sights to see including the modern art gallery and cathedral. The boat trip across the bay to Somo is also highly recommended with even more excellent beaches awaiting. Santender is a beautiful city and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Nothing, just to mention a few negative reviews about the breakfast buffet, I found it to be excellent, lovely tortilla, scrambled egg with ham and sausage, muesli, granola, toast, meat, ,cheeses, croissants, pan au chocolate, great coffee and delicious fruit juice. Unless you want a full English and aren't prepared to have a Cantabrian style breakfast, you will be more than happy, there's a microwave available if you prefer some items hot (I prefer warm tortilla) . I just wanted to say something positive as some of the reviews are completely inaccurate.

The hotel offers a beachside view. If desired, you can take a refreshing shower at the hotel or unwind on the shaded terrace. The room, although compact, is tastefully adorned and equipped with all desirable amenities such as a kettle, cups, and an exceedingly comfortable bed. A quaint balcony is also part of the package. While air-conditioning is absent, leaving the windows ajar at night allows you to relish the refreshing ocean breeze of Santander. Conveniently, a supermarket is within strolling distance, alongside numerous other shops and restaurants. Several public transportation choices are also a brief walk away, facilitating easy access to the old town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, finding absolutely no aspects of our accommodation to dislike. It was an exceptional experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone within my circle of acquaintances and beyond. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to do it again myself. Looking forward to the next time!

Great location close to the beach. Decoration of room & common areas was nice. Good storage space in the room. Decent breakfast included.

The room was quite small & opposite reception so some noise experienced. Had a problem with shower leaking onto floor. No tea/coffee sachets in the room.
