Nice hotel in a traditional building close to the "Balcon" ( with view down to the Roman amphitheatre and the sea) and the old town. Plenty of cafes and eateries nearby. Our 3rd floor Deluxe room was clean and spacious with a balcony and view down to the sea and harbour below, Good bed, nice fridge, excellent aircon, good TV Nice little swimming pool on the ground floor. Very comfortable reception and entrance to hotel along an airconditioned stone foyer. Take a ride on the "Noddy" train to tour Tarragona old and new. Take a no16 bus down to the main Arrabasada beach if you do not fancy the walk down the hill to the Miracle beach below the Balcon, Both train and bus are a short walk away near the Imperial Taracco hotel. Definately try the lunchtime16Euro Menu del dia at the Fonda restaurant at the front of the hotel. Also, right nearby is Boscois, for simple dining while watching life go by. Wander up to the excellent Placa de la Font for drinks or lunch.

It is a bit of a trek down to the Miracle each (but the No16 bus nearby takes you down to the main Arrabasada beach) Some of the rooms have not yet had a fridge installed - we were lucky and our fridge was great!!

The location was ideal ... close to the beach, the "old" part of the city, lots of places to eat and shop, and walkable from places like the bus station, university, and grocery store. The breakfast was superb with a great selection, including delicious scrambled eggs, good breads and cheeses, sweets, tea and coffee choices, etc. The room was spotlessly clean. I had a small balcony overlooking the pool.

Being there four nights, I would have loved the means of making hot water in my room for tea in the evening. In the bathroom, it would have been nice to have a couple of hooks or towel racks, and more counter space would have been helpful.

The hotel location is perfect. The entrance through the old building off the main street is charming and the hotel is an apartment block attached to the back of the building. Check in was easy with very attentive staff and the rooms was nicely decorated and very clean. A nice pool to refresh after coming back from some sightseeing or shopping as well. It was a short stroll to the historic quarters, the Roman ruins, the beach, the shops, the restaurant. A great spot to spend a few days.

There's no fridge or coffee/tea making facilities in the room. It didn't bother me but just wanting others to know that hotel rooms aren't generous in size through most of Europe. This room is big enough for you to open your bag on the bed and then shut it to store in the room. Don't expect enough floor space to have an open bag and walk around it for your whole stay.

The fact that it was so central with easy access to all tourist attractions, restaurants, bars and shops which were all within walking distance. The room was very relaxing as it was so quiet even when we had the balcony door open. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. I enjoyed chatting to them with my mediocre Spanish. We had a lovely breakfast every morning even though we hadn’t booked it. I was especially delighted to find that the pool was still open at the end of October. I really enjoyed a long swim with the pool to myself every afternoon for the full week we were there. I also enjoyed my walks to the beach only 5 minutes away.

The hand basin in our en-suite was very shallow and difficult to use as the water splashed on the floor.

The location of the hotel is terrific. We got a bus from Barcelona to Tarragona, and the bus station is a short walk to the hotel. We then got a train to Mora La Nova, and the train station is really close to the hotel. Also, the most important tourist sites are equally close by, as are great places to eat, and of course the beach. In addition, the staff were really friendly and helpful. In particular, one of the staff helped me to book my return bus to the airport and gave me some excellent advice. The buffet breakfast was a bonus. We had it on both days of our stay and paid on departure. The food was excellent.

N/A. We were perfectly happy with this hotel and will look to stay there again if we go back to Tarragona.

We liked the location, but the lack of communication was dreadful, we had been on the road for 10hrs, nobody informed us prior to our visit about the road closures.

In the room it’s smelled of sewerage. Rm313. The desk staff when we arrived were pretty unhelpful about parking issues. We asked for a double bed and was given a twin. The €18 parking charge wasn’t mentioned until we spoke to the hotel direct, which changed the value of the stay!

Location perfect. 90% of staff very accomodating Lent us a cork screw opener, chilled our wine, helpful with bus stop information, spoke English really well.

The woman who checked us in was rather rude. I asked if our request of a room above the ground floor had been happened. Was very dismissive no apology and told us the hotel was full. Not very welcoming at all. Everyone else was exceptional. Maybe booking. com should not have raised my expectations. We avoided her after that.

Small room with balcony for a deluxe room. Wonder how is a standard room.. Also they add and extra bed because we were 3...comfortable beds but they put it just right in the middle..we couldn't even walk around the room so we just put it near the window..thing they should have done it ...but maybe was easier for them to just leave it in middle. Price 120 eur...I believe was too expensive for a small room

Wonderful and friendly staff from the receptionists to the house keepers, everyone was helpful and nice. I've enjoyed the breakfast (buffet style) with a variety of food. Lovely swimming pool ideal to relax and have a peaceful moment. You can opt by swimming or enjoy a cold drink next to it. I loved my bedroom with the balcony and air conditioning. Clean towels and tidy room every day provided by the kind housekeepers. Good location next to city centre. Close to bar, cafe, restaurant, beach and shops.

Just two small incovenients: The insulation. You can hear all the noises from the bedrooms next door and upwards. The leaking shower. Each time we had a shower, water leaked on the sides of the shower causing the bathroom floor to be a little bit flooded 😕

We have stayed here before and we will always stay here. Location is the best! At the end of the walking promanade down the center of the street at the overlook to the sea and near the Roman theater. Very nice, large rooms, very clean. This time we had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool, lovely. You can add breakfast but we never have so I can not comment. Parking is underground in the middle of the street under the walking promenade if you can not get into the hotels private lot.

Wish there was a kettle. Everything else is great.
