This is a beautiful small hotel in the perfect location. We were in Vielha for the UTMB and were so pleased with our choice. The room was lovely, with a VERY comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. It was a warm room but we had windows open most of the stay, which helped a lot. Breakfast was small but had a good selection, and we were accommodated for our gluten intolerance. The staff were exceptionally warm and kind. Parking is very easy and free.

There are no tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom. It would be nice if the communal lounge was open during the day.

Location was perfect, situated in the centre of Vielha and close to cafe's, shops and beautiful mountain scenery to walk/run in. I had travelled to the Pyrenees to take part in a trail race so this was perfect for me!

Nothing needed changing, location, amenities, hospitality were all great. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Everything. The place, the people, the room, all were at the level of excellence. The location is in the city center, but on a street with very little traffic, so there is no unpleasant noise. The public parking P2 is 2 minutes walking from the hotel, and is free, so is a good option if you travel by car.

There was no single negative aspect.

The front desk and cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel valued and ever so welcome. Hotel Fonfreda is clearly an older historic hotel but it has been updated nicely. You can't beat the location on a charming square in Vielha.

Very good choice for UTMB Valdaran, location 5min walk to the Trail village, Start etc. Very clean, very comfortable beds, spacious bath, with bathtube. Excellent breakfast, good Wifi.

Very centrally placed with easy access to restaurants and shops. The rooms were charming and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean.

.We came for Val d'Aran by UTMB and loved Fonfreda. The location was perfect - right in the centre of town and really close to the race expo / finish. Breakfast was ace (consisting of a selection of cereals, tea/coffee, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, cakes and pastries), fast WiFi, powerful shower and excellent staff and housekeeping. I would strongly recommend it.

Our stay was amazing but two FYIs to be aware of; first, with the location being so central if your room is on the street-side there can be noise until about midnight, so if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs maybe. Second there is no air-con, though this was not an issue for us.

Very friendly staff. The room was spacious and immaculate. Its part of the Town centre but seemed quiet at night. Parking close by. I would be very happy to recommend and if I visit again this Hotel would be my first choice. All the best and many thanks. Richard

I cant think of anything negative to say.

Breakfast was very good however, the sound from the speaker playing local radio was very, very unpleasant.

The radio playing in dining room was was very disturbing.
