This is a beautiful characterful hotel with modern facilities right in the middle of Villaviciosa, which itself is a hidden gem of inland Spain. I stayed there before and made a point of going back. The en-suite bathroom was modern, spotless and well equipped with toiletries and the common areas are charming. It's right on the Camino and there is a row of very civilised bars and cafés just around the corner.
It would be nice if the hotel bar/coffee shop had stayed open longer.

What an amazing place and right in the historic quarter of of town, alongside the Camino del Norte. Wow, if this is a 2-star establishment, I am curios to see what 5-star accommodation looks like in Spain. My room was very spacious and nicely furnished with antique furniture. I even had a little balcony, overlooking the old part of town. The bathroom was very modern, including a shower tower with jet nozzles for a whole bodyspray experience. The staff in the hotel was extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommended! I defintely would stay here again.

Very stylish hotel and very comfortable room. Location is central (if you are on Camino the Tourist Information Centre is virtually next door); very friendly and helpful staff
For someone wanting a breakfast at the hotel, it starts at 8:3am (I was told), this may be too late if you are on Camino and need an early breakfast. There is a Cafe nearby opening early though.

Casa España is right in the heart of the town and has the best little cafe/bar attached. We enjoyed the breakfast and the a la carte tea options along with the cafe con leche. The hotel is full of hardwood floors and old furniture that is in great shape! They have the cutest old school sinks in the corridors. The rooms are exceptionally clean! We really enjoyed our stay and the entire staff was lovely.

Great location right in the middle of the picturesque part of the old town. Staff were very polite. Hotel was respectfully traditional. As the cafe was pay as you go, could just drop key and go on last morning. Simple.
WiFi never reached our room. Bath-shower tap switch didn't work - was stuck on one or other.

Such a lovely hotel , spotlessly clean with great character features. The room was huge with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed with great views over the town. Close to everything and lovely staff.
Not a problem for us but worth noting the WiFi doesn't reach the top floor so might be worth checking where your room is if you needed a good connection :)

Had a really good stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what we needed after a long Camino stage. Check-in was smooth, the location is great, and everything was within walking distance. Slept well and felt totally recharged the next day. Would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended!

The house is an old one, well taken care of. The renter were very polite and colaborative. It is a house in the middle of the town. They area is priviled, a lot of good places to rest and eat.
The windows are old, so they do not isolate from the street noise.

Centrally located in the town, we used it as a base to explore Asturias. Finding street parking was very easy as well! The cafeteria also had a great, affordable breakfast (delicious tortilla and homemade cakes)
The bed was a bit old and the walls were a bit thin. During the afternoon/evening you could hear people outside but at night it was quiet enough to sleep!

Location of hotel is excellent, very friendly staff with a great pavement bar outside Bathrooms modernised, beautiful old building
Parking could have been difficult, you just have to keep driving round the square for a spot!! The places outside of the hotel are restricted and cars need to be moved from 8am to 1pm
