Standout service from the team serving breakfast and lunch. Also enjoyed our nightly chats with the two lovely security gents looking after the property in the evenings. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing area around the pool and yoga space upstairs truly stunning. A really tranquil place to unwind, only 5mins to the beach and a 20mins walk to Ahangama.

Location is very good if you like Kabalana beach, which we loved - walking distance! Breakfast is good and rooms are nicely decorated. The convenience of the yoga classes was great and the class itself was amazing. The room is cleaned every day.

The room add a fridge but no water or anything else on it. Even though the property has a water bootle from where you can always take a glass, I think it would've been nice to have a bootle in the room to take to the beach on the next day. The pillows were not very confortable in the room as well as the bed sheets.

Beautiful pool & facilities and yoga teachers. The staff were polite & attentive, always happy to help. Lovely breakfast included with plenty of options. A family of monkeys play in the trees which is wonderful to watch. Ahangama is a beautiful town to stay in

I should have been more vigilant however assumed for the price I was paying yoga was included, bit of a shock at the end when checking out

Beautiful B&B, rooms and communal area. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfy and the room felt like a little oasis. Also a great selection of breakfast choices!

It was a little bit further out of town- we love to walk everywhere and whilst the distance was fine it was along a main road which felt a bit sketchy and we didn’t like walking along there

We stayed in The Nuga House for four nights and at the end of our stay we didn't want to leave. It's the perfect place to stay in Kabalana, just 3 minutes away from the beach and very close to Ahangama. It's a small boutique hotel with only 6 rooms, an outdoors common area and beautiful gardens and a pool to relax on. The rooms are big, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was amazing. They have so many options to choose from and all of the food is really fresh and tasty. The staff were super nice and helpful. They have daily yoga lessons in an amazing yoga shala overlooking its green and quiet surroundings. If you ask for it they can also arrange surf lessons for you. Overall we had an amazing experience and would definitely love to go back.

To put some perspective this is my 16th trip to Sri Lanka and the first time with a child. So I really know the different types of accommodation options available in this area. I was genuinely blown away by Nuga House. Just everything from the communications knowing we won’t be arriving until 1am, the big rooms, the little touches like lots of board racks to store your surf boards, outside showers so you don’t bring the sand into the room, food options, lots of storage in the rooms to organise yourself properly without it overtaking the room space, a yoga studio which I used to stretch between surf sessions, beyond friendly staff - they literally spoilt our daughter everyday. Plus the fact you are a 6 minute walk from a world class wave at Kabalana. The owner Ari is a kind and no mess about gentlemen and the girls handling the food and beverage plus bookings were exceptional. My family and me are beyond grateful with the way Nuga house took care of us. We plan to come back every year now and stay longer next time.

I recently stayed at a place that I absolutely loved! The room was spacious and had a really unique rustic concrete interior design, which gave it a cool and stylish vibe. But the highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast. I highly recommend trying the Shakshuka - my partner and my friend loved it so much, we made it at home after. Overall, my experience was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay with a delicious breakfast.

I found the pool to be small and not very clean, and the price a little steep. However, overall my stay was decent.

I had a great stay at Nuga house. The rooms are clean and nice. A/C and mosquito net provided, and towels. Everyday cleaning. Good Breakfast and 1 hot drink included. Filtered water for free. The cafe is open until 4pm. In the morning times there is a Yoga class to join. Beach is within reach. And there are a lot of places around to explore. The staff is amazing, and helps with every need. Thank you!

Our second time at Nuga house and we love it as much as we did the first time! The hotel manager and all the other staff is so friendly and is always available if anything. The best breakfast in Sri Lanka is included in the stay and they also have lunch in the café - really good food!! We will definitely be back!

Amazing peaceful stay at The Nuga House. If you want a tranquil, clean and high quality stay in Ahangama, this is the place for you. Yoga classes are available every morning, they have a cafe onsite and a pool to cool down in the heat.
