We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Alba. It felt like paradise when we arrived after a long journey. Our room was beautiful – clean, comfortable, with a stunning view and lots of great amenities. We visited in the off-season, so we often had the pool to ourselves for a lot of the time as well as the reception area during breakfast and dinner, which made everything feel even more relaxing and exclusive. The food was brilliant too – so many options, really high quality, and clearly made with care. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Villa Alba also has scooters available to rent, which was super convenient for exploring the nearby local areas. I honestly couldn’t recommend if you're looking for affordable luxury, peacefulness and total relaxation.

Nothing - it was perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa Alba in Sri Lanka! The location was perfect — just a short ride from the beach, yet tucked away from the noise, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The villa itself is stylish and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that gives you the feeling of being in the middle of the jungle. We often spotted peacocks, storks, and other adorable little animals roaming nearby, and the sound of birdsong added to the magical ambiance. The food was exceptional — prepared by a local chef using fresh ingredients, many of which came straight from the surrounding plantation. One dish that stood out was the jackfruit cutlets — absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, always making us feel welcome and cared for. We also enjoyed two wonderful massages during our stay — a truly relaxing experience. Our room was beautifully designed, with good air conditioning and a bathroom we especially loved, featuring panoramic glass that looked out into nature. There was a true sense of privacy and comfort — even though the villa was fully booked, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The rooms are well-zoned, and we didn’t hear a sound from the neighbors. All in all, this place left us with such warm memories. We’ll definitely recommend it to our friends — and hopefully come back again ourselves someday.

What an amazing hidden gem and perfect place to spend our honeymoon. We had the most wonderful 5 nights at Villa Alba. Our room was stunning and had the most beautiful views. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our whole stay - they really couldn’t do enough for us and were always so happy and polite. The menu and food at the hotel was outstanding and always so beautifully presented. We particularly loved the pool area, comfortable sun loungers and views over the beautiful gardens and rice fields. The hotel very kindly organised a safari for us at Udawalawe National Park - this is a must when staying in Sri Lanka. A day we will remember forever. Location is peaceful and only 10 minutes from the beach. Very easy to get to by tuk tuk which the hotel very kindly organised for us during our stay. We really can’t fault anything about this hotel. We really hope to return in the future will be recommending it to all of our friends. If you are considering booking Villa Alba please don’t think twice, you won’t regret it! This is one of the best places we have ever been in all south Asia. Everything, from the surrounding marvellous garden, to the interior design and the architecture of the structure perfectly balanced with the wildness of the nature, to our room with the view on the rice fields and the plein-air bathroom... This place is a dream and the perfect location to relax, enjoy nature and be healed by the chorus of birds. Breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious. The staff is always so nice and helpful, honestly they provide the best service possible. I would also like to mention the spa service: I had the best massage of my life with a true therapist who knows the massage techniques... I have never felt so good after a massage in my life! The hotel is just 5-10 min tuktuk ride from the main village and beaches. We are already planning our next trip here.

The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring that every need was met. One of the absolute highlights was the massage at the hotel – it was the best massage we have ever had! This is a beautiful small property set a few kilometres inland from the bustle of Ahangama amongst the rice paddy fields. The rooms are amazing and at times you feel as though you are there on your own. The staff were also fantastic. There are no shops nearby so if you need anything you will need to arrange a TukTuk (staff can order one for you) to go into town. This didn't bother us as we were looking for a bit of luxury, peace and quiet at the end of our trip. The meals on site were great as well. Would highly recommend.

Everything, from the Architectural design to the Interior and furniture pieces to the Staff and the animals that have to offer in the area. We loved our stay and will come back. The food is amazing. I loved the breakfast buffet idea <3 The pool area is amazing.

Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations. Probably one is the location, going home from Ahangama town to Villa Alba is a bit scary at night.

An utterly beautiful small villa which is almost certainly now on my list as favourite places to stay because it’s so comfortable and the decor and beautifully manicured gardens add to the whole experience. We loved the pool beds and the breakfasts and the room was stunning and had all the amenities you require. We didn’t want to leave and wish we had eaten there one evening as we were told the food was good too.

The bed linen could be better fitted to the bed and the location is maybe too remote for some but we had a car so for us it was no problem and appreciated the peace and quiet.

Amazing place! The rooms are so big and clean. The view from the room is incredible and the quiet makes the vacation so peaceful and pleasant. We fell in love with this place!

The food was not so good. It’s important to mention that it is better for people that drive motorcycles around because it can be annoying to wait for transport every time

The hotel was fantastic! Luxurious and private with stunning rooms. Impeccably clean, and the beds were comfortable. While the hotel is a bit farther from the center, tuk-tuks make it easy to reach the beach and restaurants. Lunch and dinner were delicious, but breakfast remained the same, and after a few days, some variety would have been appreciated. I had hoped for better service given the price and the hotel's exclusive vibe. Many times, I had to take the initiative and inquire about meals, drinks and snacks myself. But overall, everything was superb!
