We we re a group of 8 consisting two families. We reserved four Pods for four nights and were allocated with Pods 4, 6, 7 and 8, that were close together as per our request. We enjoyed the open sitting area by the pods 7 and 8 and also the sun beds by the beach for relaxing, drinks and snacks. The pool was clean and well maintained allowing us a couple of hours of peaceful dips every evening. The staff was great and helpful. Breakfast we selected out of the local menu was delicious and reasonably priced.

There was some strong odour in the wash room of Pod 7. This was immediately attended by the staff after informing and seemed to have done whatever they could to minimise, without much success though.

One of the staff members Gopi was jumping up in joy the moment we arrived (10 pax) did a quick check in etc., Gave us a good briefing. Showed us the cabins which he has already earmarked but gave us the choice to take whatever cabins we wanted. Gopi was extremely helpful. He also mentioned that the restaurant was not ready for our meal preference (The whole Arugam bay was empty due to off season) and he suggested a few places which was good. We were leaving by 6.00am to Kumana next morning and Gopi was glad to give our morning tea/coffee at 5.30am. A great gesture. The water flow in the shower was low during night and morning. I had to request a staff to look into it which was attended promptly. Gopi had all qualities what a guest relation officer should have.

There is an exhaust fan fitted in the toilets and the plug is quite close to the shower and the circuit breaker trips off when you operate the shower due to water spraying. A simple water proof cover should solve this issue.

Arugambay Podbay resort was a truly relaxing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's peaceful atmosphere. The resort's location is ideal, with direct access to the beautiful Arugam Bay beach. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and I particularly enjoyed the direct access to the beach Infront of the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beach. I highly recommend resort to anyone seeking a relaxing beach getaway. I would definitely return. No pool restrictions

Staff were amazing. Koba the main guy was very good at organizing. If you needed anything him or his workers would sort it asap. Pool was awesome. Location close to good cafes & shops. Bed linen was clean. Beds comfy.free waters daily. Definately book the villas in front if you want a nice room.

Security lights made rooms by entrance very bright, we needed to hang up covers. Very early prepayment. Non refundable. But all worked out.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The tea and coffee are good. The location is perfect, on the main street and directly at the beach. The ac works great, maybe a bit too good :) During our stay, they changed the bedsheets, we got multiple times new towels, and they offered on various times to clean our room. The bathroom has no hot shower, but the water is not cold.

The bathroom and shower are great, but it could be a bit cleaner (water stains visible).

Very beautiful and peaceful place – definitely great value for money. The swimming pool is always clean, the whole area is well looked after, and the cottages are simple but very tidy and comfortable. It’s just a short and easy walk to the beach. We also had breakfast on site – much cheaper than in the nearby places and really good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a lovely and relaxing environment. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location on the beach. Pool was huge with a separate shallow children's end. Breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Free tea, coffee and water. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful and sorted anything we needed. Bathroom is a little bit dated but clean and functional so can't really complain given the price we paid.

In the pod bay, I like everything, the specialty support of staff They do everything with a smile, very helpful😊 The pool is great and the atmosphere is also very nice just a walking distance to the beach, You just have to pass the gate of the hotel you will be on the beach. Watching sunrise was awesome and arugambay is the ideal place to watch the sun rise today there is no clouds, sun is very clear.🌅🌅

The staff were amazing and so helpful! They offered us early checking and a welcome drink while we waited for our room. They couldn’t do more for you. Free water tea coffee ect. Perfect location, on the beach. Bathroom could do with a refresh. Staff made the pace :) pool is great and warm.

Pool was great! Location was very close to centre and beach metres away. Great value for money!

Could do with kettle in room in pod. Slight springs feeling in mattress but very comfy pillows.
