Me and a friend stayed at Amelia Resort Sigiriya and had a wonderful time. The hotel is close to all the key attractions like Sigiriya and Pidurangala, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Just a little tip, if you’re heading back at night, be careful on the road as you might encounter elephants! The property offers great leisure options like a carrom board, chess boards, and a nice pool. There’s also a charming attic area at the front where you can relax, hang out, or enjoy a drink in the open air. The staff were incredibly helpful. They even assisted with small things like cutting our fruit, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. Overall, it’s excellent value for money and perfect for a relaxing stay.

This place has new owners and they really care now. They fixed internet, hot water, painted the walls and refreshed the rooms and bathrooms. Rooms are big and spacious, clean with free tea and cofee and comfortable beds. The swiming pool is big and clean , just perfect for chill out after visiting Pidurangala or Lions Rock. The hotel is 3 km from Sigiriya town in quiet village , perfect to chill out. You can rent the scooter and bicycles there or if you want the owner drop you to the city by his van. Really great place for those sho want to forget about problems and just chill out!

Excellent hotel in Sigiriya run by Polish/ Sri Lankan team. It is located 4km from town in front of beautiful lake covered by lotus flowers. They have everything you need- big, clean swimming pool, big, clean rooms with AC and hot water, bicycles, scooter and motorbike for rent, tree restaurant with stunning view of the lake. Very tasty breakfasts are included and they can also make fantastic tuna steaks or prawns! They can provide free transport to Lions Rock, Pidurangala or Sigiriya town. Chłopaki! Wielkie dzięki. Comfortable rooms, a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Good wifi and delicious breakfast included in the room price. The staff organised a safari to Minneriya to see the elephant gathering at an excellent price.

Not a negative.. But just so you know, there is no physical menu. The staff will let you what is available food wise.

The king bed was good and room set up was nice with a cute balcony and lovely view of the mountain. The pool was clean and the host was lovely - he made us a yummy curry for dinner (just be prepared to wait for it) and good breaky.

There was an issue with out aircon which meant we didnt have aircon for one night but it was fixed the next day by a technician. It was hard sometimes to get a tuk tuk but I think that is common for Sigiriya.

Fantastic place, beautiful with quiet stunning garden around. Many tourist attractions in the area, no way to be bored. Great chilling spot over the pool close to the nature. New staff is very polite, helpful and friendly keeping the place tidy. They also serve delicious meals. I will definitely come back there soon.

Hotel with the best value-for-price we had in Sri Lanka. We paid around 20€ for one night in a very comfortable and clean room and could use the very clean pool. Breakfast was great. It’s a bit away from Sigiriya rock, but the employees bring you there and pick you up with their tuk-tuk for a reasonable price, same for the transfer to the railway station.

We had unforgettable time in Amelia Resort. Pool was nice and warm, hotel room clean and comfy and place is surrounded by nature. The owner of this place has changed and recently renovated the hotel. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect!

It’s a really nice and quiet hotel. A bit remote, but it was easy to get a tuktuk into town. The kids really loved the swimmingpool and the hosts are super helpful and friendly.
