The property is beautiful with lovely flowers and shrubs all around. It’s also super peaceful but an easy walk to town which is hopping. We had small children so location was super important to us! We loved going to watch the train at night. The host was so accommodating - arranged a Tuk Tuk tour for us, dropped us in town more than once, dropped us at the train station, gave great recommendations, and served a great breakfast. We really enjoyed visiting with other guests at breakfast. There are several steps to the room but we didn’t have issues even with two little kids.

The bathroom had an unusual smell and other guests said the same thing - I think it’s due to the humidity. We had some wet clothes that hadn’t dried at all after two days, so that’s just life in Ella I think.

Very peaceful and relaxing place a short walk from the bustle of the main street. I was so glad I booked here and not on the main street, which is noisy and unpleasant. Large, comfortable room and bathroom; spotlessly clean. Mosquito nets provided, comfortable beds, fridge and kettle in room. Kind host who made us feel very welcome.

The shower did not have hot water but this was not a problem for us as the temperature was warm. Be aware there are steps leading from the road to the guesthouse which may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

Set amid beautiful gardens and well away from the noise of the Main Street in the village. Easy walk to train station and a slightly longer walk to nine arch bridge along the railway track which was great fun ( plenty of stall along the way selling drinks etc) . Owners very helpful, spoke excellent English and gave us helpful information. Nice little veranda with recliners and a hammock outside the room.

Slightly damp smell in the rooms and towels etc a little musty, but to be expected given the humidity and rainfall at the time if our visit.

Great location. Walking distance from train station and a bit out of the hustle and bustle of Ella center. Very quiet, you feel like you are in a jungle. Center is easy reachable by foot or a tuk tuk is never far away. Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us with trips and driver for our next destination. Breakfast was nice too. We travelled with 2 young kids so the family room was perfect for us

Beautiful quiet Homestay located less than 5min walk from Main Street in Ella. The hosts were lovely and breakfast was fantastic. There was parking for our Tuktuk and the host gave us some very good recommendations on things to do in Ella as well as laundry service. The room was clean and comfortable and had a lovely seated area outside as well. Highly, highly recommend!

Nothing at all, one of our favourites stays in Sri Lanka!

The location is perfect. On one hand it’s really close at the train station and on the other it’s just a 5 min walk to town center, but also absolutely quiet during night. The owner is really helpful and shares advice for day trips. You can also rent a scooter there.

Just a hint: the last part of the way to the accommodation is a steep stairway. However travelling with a suitcase could be inconvenient.

Lovely place in a nice location. The owner Vasanthas and his wife are very nice - for our journey to Colombo he allowed us to use his personal driver and even gave us some bananas for the journey (grown at the propery). Would have stayed one more night but we didn't realise how far Columbo was and needed to be there to fly home the next morning. Property is very close to main road restaurants, shops and bars etc etc.

Bed little uncomfortable but generally OK. Otherwise there isn't anything not to like.

Super friendly and helpful hosts, spacious rooms, luscious breakfast, 5 minutes walk to city centre, 2 minutes walk to trainstation, over all: wonderful place!!!

Not really a minus, just something to be aware of: when with small kids and a stroller, it can be quite exhausting to bring everything and everyone up and down the stairs between road and accomodation. But also the host helped whenever he could, so definitely not a complaint!

Wonderful location, 10 mins walk to the centre but you felt right out in the hills. Spotless room, surrounded by greenery. Very friendly hosts and a great home cooked breakfast. Arranged tuk tuk visit to tea factory/plantation at a reasonable price and on the last day drove us to the station for the train to Kandy. A memorable stay in Ella thanks to them.

The design of the property is really great it makes a great atmosphere and everything around is so green. The owners gave us some great tips and organized a tour to Lipton Seat and Diyaluma falls for us. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great as it's a little away from the bustling streets of Ella but it's only a 5 minute walk to the centre.
