Very good location, clean, tasty food, staff are welcoming. Hotel staff are very helpful, especially Dinesh from housekeeping ensured rooms are clean and well stocked each day. Also, the restaurant chef and staff made sure we were fed, and the food was delicious. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Very relaxing. Spa access was a bonus. Guests have the option to use the sister hotel next door, which is another plus sign for Avani.

Avani is a geat hotel. This is an observation to make the hotel even better. Hotel management should perhaps move/locate the Trishaw(tuk tuk) drivers outside of both the Hotels because having Trishaw Park inside the property driveways is obstructive, and the drivers can be intimidating for the guests. Guests should have the freedom to walk around and explore the property at their own pace. Hotel reception should call the Trishaw services when needed by the guests.

This was my second time at this property. Last time, I stayed in a private pool villa. Since I traveled alone this time, I chose a standard room. The room size is quite small but still suitable for a solo traveler. I encountered an issue 15 minutes after check-in, but it was resolved quickly. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly. I particularly liked my room because it faced the beach. As I mentioned, the issue I had was addressed promptly, and the key person responsible was the very professional Guest Relations Executive, Ms. Tharindi. She is welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. The main reason I am giving a 10/10 rating is because of her outstanding service and quick resolution of my concern. Every morning, she checks in with guests to ensure their comfort, which I truly appreciate. Having worked in the service industry for the past 12 years, I know how important this level of care is. Ms. Tharindi, you are a valuable asset to this property. Once again, thank you for making my stay at Avani so memorable. I would also like to thank the Front Office Manager, Mr. Jayantha, and the Executive Housekeeper, Mr. Eric, who personally met with me and resolved the issue. Additionally, my gratitude goes to the room attendant who kept my room impeccably clean.

The pool needs to be cleaned more often as it looks quite dirty. The in-villa dining service staff need to be more professional.

Quite simply the staff. They all did whatever they could to make our stay better especially regarding food options. The chef’s personally came over for every meal time and also to prepare baby food for our 10 month baby. Good value for money and not too far from Columbo. Excellent if you want to relax as a family. A big thank you to Ashan for making the stay as comfortable as possible and to Ruwan and the rest of the team for looking after us every meal time. Highly recommend due to the level of customer service. Would also recommend the pool suite.

Could be a little remote if you are looking to explore but perfect to relax and enjoy the Sri Lankan hospitality.

Amazing resort! One the best parts is the staff! They are very kind with always a smile! They have taken care of all our needs. We had a little issue in our room and they change to another one inmediately. We traveleed with a baby and all the staff was very kind with him. Rooms are very spacious and with all you need to feel like at home. We stayed with breakfast and dinner included, and buffet with very good! You can also go to the restaurants in the next Resort that are very good as well. Perfect destination to relax and enjoy with family!

All is ok in the resort, but maybe they need to renew the wood around the pool.

In few words - Exceptionally great in everything. The meal was plenty, with really good variety and delicious. Moreover, despite the bad weather, the staff cleaned the pool regularly. The service of the pool was great, friendly and offering everything whatever and whenever needed. Especially Mr. NISHANTA and Mr. CHANDIMA LAKMAL. Mr. SURANGA cleaned our room every day in a very nice way and every day pleased us with beautiful and romantic bedding designs. All the staff in the hotel was very kind and helpful.

just a minibar in the room was producing bit noisy buzzing. The beach was really nice but could be better if the hotel paid more attention to the cleanliness of the surroundings.

Everything about the hotel and its surroundings are nice. Food is exceptionally good. Beach is amazing. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

The wood tile around the pool is old. The AC system is old and loud. Bathroom would get smelly (from the ac or sewage I don’t know). The fan in the room is old and not in the right place. No mosquito net by the balcony door. Also the local people waiting by the beach were annoying. They tried to sell something, they were in a group and hung out in the best place under the coconut trees. It didn’t feel comfortable going to that area.

This is the second time we have stayed here as a family. We have an 8 month old and enjoy the relaxed feel, clean, spacious rooms and safety. There is easy access to the pool, several restaurants, the beach and stunning walks around the resort. We have enjoyed nightly sunsets on the beach. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and make you feel very welcome. We have extended our stay here because we have enjoyed it so much. The breakfast buffet is delightful with barista made coffee. Highly recommend to anyone travelling with an infant.

Check in was easy. Welcome was good. Rooms were clean. Friendly staff. Breakfast - good. Can rate 80/100. Dinner - good. Can rate 80/100. To enjoy all facilities leisurely, you need to stay at least 2 nights. Thanks to Kanishka at front Desk.

Not having an elevator was an issue for elderly and less able people. Pool - Open only from 7am - 7pm. Prefer If it was accessible for a longer time. Meat items available was only chicken, beef, fish. Prefer If there were more variety including Sea Food.

Our stay at Avani hotel was quite enjoyable. Impressed by the exceptional staff service and gym facilities. The food was really good and we appreciated the unlimited water access. Additionally, the spa service was great and of course the beautiful sunsets from the beach.

Initially, we had some issues with the room's air conditioning system not bringing the temperature below 25C. Despite changing rooms, the problem persisted to a certain extent. Additionally, the presence of a loud event with a DJ playing excessively loud music on the first day disrupted the tranquility of the stay. The mirror in our room literarily vibrated with the bass. The crows were a bit obnoxious during breakfast around the outdoor seating, perhaps the hotel could benefit from putting up some sort of divider wall to limit their access to our food.

The friendly staff make this a special hotel. The rooms are extremely clean and have a good sized bathroom. Hotel is set in nice gardens in a quiet, naturally beautiful location. Good buffet food selection at breakfast and dinner. Special shout out to Suranga our room boy who did a super job.

The decking around the pool is in poor condition but is scheduled to be replaced in the coming months.
